This is a very popular little shop on the side of Highway 76. It’s really busy at lunch time, and the parking lot will be full. They have some tables inside and 1 outside. Super friendly people.
This has changed names to the Chicken Coop . It's a small place with very nice people working there. You can smell that wonderful home cooking before you open the door. The folks who work there were very friendly & helpful. I had called my order in and it was ready when I got there. We talked about them cooking fried chicken livers ( I'm even more excited now) so that's something to look forward to on my next visit soon. Now let's get down to the important stuff. Been eating Gus's in Mason for almost 30 years. Moved to Somerville a few years ago and tried the Coop. Just as good as Gus's. I'd have to drive right past the Chicken Coop to go to Mason. There is no need to make that drive. The spicy chicken at Chicken Coop is as good or better than any fried chicken I've had. And I go out of my way to try any halfway famous chicken when we travel.
