He was a nice young man who was polite, attentive, asked if we need more drinks or anything, anytime he passed by. this young man's actions and service made my morning a good one. “In a world of washed-up, half-assed, Captain D's, this one still shines like a city on a hill. You can still get a high quality, well priced, great tasting meal from this fish house. Everything was made fresh, was piping hot, and quieted that growling monster in my gut. The two piece meal was more than I could eat for lunch and I actually took what was left to go in a box. This team set a new bar for Captain D's all around the country. Keep up the good work Springfield!“

“We have ate at Granny's many times. We have taken family there to eat when they come to visit. We always warn, you never know what your going to get, so just flow with it. My husband and I have ordered to go meals a few times. We find it to be hit or miss...seems it is super fantastic or super bad. Ordered the potato salad; which previously had enjoyed, got a soupy raw potatoe mess, this happened several times in a row and I just stopped ordering it. The hash browns are always raw; I don't order them, but on the other hand their home fries are usually excellent. I once ordered a double order of biscuits and gravy....2 biscuits with a small cup of gravy that won't even cover 1 biscuit....isn't that a regular order? You guessed it..... I just don't order it any more. There are lots of things we just stopped ordering and are hoping to find that sweet spot we know will be consistently good. Most of their food is exceptional. I want so badly to love Granny's and support a local business. This type of restaurant is where my heart is. I was raised working, cooking, cleaning and serving in restaurants like Grannys, I love when the food i eat reminds me of my Mom's or my own cooking. After so many years I have found myself not thinking about going there as much, but we will continue to because when it's good......it's really good!!!!!“
