“Each time we fly through Nashville, we stopped here to eat. The food is really good, and the service is top-notch. The manager, Maverick? I think, will be seen busing tables during busy times. The wait staff is always friendly. This time we had Tracy- a spunky gal with a great attitude. No matter what you order you can’t go wrong with a side of their queso. That wonderfully smooth hot cheese dip is good on everything. Also, most of the time we split when we go here- we get the double patty burger- it’s excellent!“

“Great experience at Pelican and Pig! We sat at the chef's counter and found it very interesting to be able to watch the crew work and ask a few questions. They were very personable. Our server was great as well. We loved how the courses were separated so that we were able to enjoy each dish on its own. Having never had corn ribs before, we were blown away by how good they were. In fact, everything we tried was delicious. The ribeye steak though... one of the best steaks we have ever had. Highly recommend Pelican and Pig!“

“This place is the golden time capsule that Nashville always needs. You couldn't convince me my grandmother (God rest her southern soul) didn't go back there and make my biscuits and gravy.

The food is classic, old-school Southern good-eats. Doesn't get any better or simpler. I got the full Ultimate breakfast platter, and let me tell you that you'd better be famished 🤣. It's so much food for $15, I fought with it for about 45 minutes but lost in the end to it's gargantuan size.

The staff is above-and-beyond charming, experienced, and overall what's missing from modern customer service post-COVID. If you haven't been here, stop what you're doing and go.

“We went somewhere else for breakfast this morning and regretted it! If we get breakfast it's almost always either Red Rooster or Waffle House. Never going anywhere else again! The Roo has never disappointed. They're quick, delicious, very fairly priced! The servers are on top of it! I even had a rough morning getting my 4 year old in the door and a server opened her arms and he jumped right in them, giving her a big hug. Totally changed his mood around. We love Red Rooster. 🥰“

“Interesting place. Good food. Family styled all you can eat sides. Coleslaw and green beans are excellent. Great French fries, which are served with most entrees. The only item I would not recommend is the fried clams. They were extremely small and over breaded. Could not even taste the clams. Everything else is very good, if not outright excellent! Sides are served family-style and they're all you can eat. We've had both the catfish and the chicken, and they were both very good. Definitely a pleasant place to eat. The people are very friendly and work hard. I defineitely recommend!“

“We got stuck in Nashville due to flight delays. The food was delicious and the prices reasonable. I had a rgb salad with shrimp. The shrimp were fresh, not frozen and very well cooked. My husband had bourbon chicken. We demolished our food and the lady doing bar and restaurant suggested a brownie with ice cream and whipped cream. Literally to die for. So good!!“

“My husband and I went to purchase a boneless pre-sliced ham for Thanksgiving which was pretty good. We paid around $56 for it. While there, I also tried their Turkey Pot Pie, but it wasn't that good to me. It was very bland and lacked flavor. However, I would go back to purchase another ham.“
