“The Daily Special is a hidden gem!! Our server, Shanda, was amazing! She was helpful, cheerful, and kind to everyone there. The food was spectacular! My husband got the meatloaf special (on Mondays) and I got the chicken fried chicken. It was tender and seasoned just right. We didn’t get dessert but someone at another table liked the pie so much, he got a second piece :-) We may have to go back later for dessert!“

“My favorite soup by far is their smoked jalapeno soup. It's not really spicy but it's kind of addictive. The dishes were yummy (Parmesan rice is a must order) plated well, atmosphere was not bright, but nice and quiet. We're going to go back for their evenings with live music.“

“Had a great lunch! The hostesses opened the doors for us as we walked in and we were seated within a couple minutes, despite having a large party. All of our orders came out correct and they were all really delicious! Our waitress Alyssa was amazing and took really great care of us. The manager, Adam, also stopped by to make sure everything was going well. It was a wonderful dining experience, will definitely be back!“

The atmosphere was nice but it was very crowded when i and a friend went. We had to wait for about 45 minutes for a table for two. Otherwise, it was a good experience.“

One of the bartenders, who was working near the stage, kept my drinks safe while I went to the bathroom. As someone who's frequently out alone, I couldn't have appreciated that more! Then Kim texted me my picture with Andrew and invited me back. What a nice group of people. It was my first time in Burleson, TX and I felt very welcomed. The food and drinks were great as well. “So my family to me here for the first time and I'm kind of a big guy so I ordered their heartattack burger. I was not disappointed at all. Usually you would think with all the different food involved it would taste bad but it didn't. Hands down one of the best burgers I have had in a while. Now my only down side would be the size of the drinks when I held the cup it disappeared in my hands.“

The other day we went to Captain D's in Burleson.

I hadn't been to one in years and so was curious how good it would be.

We were a Long John Silvers family growing up so I always have memories of those meals

Well Captain D's has done it well and made me feel like I was at LJS but it was BETTER!

First off Perla at the counter was tremendous!

She definitely knows how to run the restaurant

We tried a little bit of everything

The fish was fried perfectly

The hush puppies were crunchy but moist on the inside

The fries were excellent

The fries pickles were lightly breaded and sour pickles

The butterfly shrimp had the perfect crunch

The mozzarella sticks were flavorful and not over chewy

Overall the oil seemed very new as everything had a light color to it

What I was also very impressed with was how clean the restaurant is for the age

Also how great they maintained it after being there for awhile

I'll definitely be back now that I know it leap frogs the ol LJS!
