“They combined lemon pepper dry rub and buffalo to make a very pleasant flavor on some quite large wings. Had waffle fries, elote as an appetizer with chips. Best elote ever and the chips are house made. Plenty of tvs and you can pick your game. Waiters are very attentive without hovering. Descent priced drink specials. Try it. You will not be disappointed.“
“No food, but it has juices you can buy with your drink. Has karoake on Thursdays and Saturdays, and a dj on Fridays! It is cash only, so make sure to be prepared. If you are not, they have an ATM!! Great people, a lot of locals. It is a smoke friendly bar, so be aware. Definitely recommend!“

“This was my first visit here but will NOT be the last. I had the Chili Relleno de Assada and it was the best I have ever eaten. In fact everything with the meal was great. I had the Charro Beans instead of refries and again it was super. It was about 11:30 today when we went.“

“They will cook your catch here and do a fantastic job doing it. they serve it family style with your choice of sides with hush puppies and coleslaw. The service is fun and efficient. The full bar is also a plus with every thing including non alcohol beers and topo Chico. You will enjoy it.“

“The hubs came here with a friend last time we visited Rockport. He brought me this time around. Great place with great atmosphere and service. We came in on a Wednesday, 1/2 price whiskey nite. With that in mind we definitely went with the Angel's Envy Old Fashion, and they did not disappoint. Of course if they are open tomorrow, we will end Turkey Day with a drink or two. 😍“
“My family and I were visiting from San Antonio and ended our night at Shorty's two of those nights. Great live music and friendly bar staff. I left my debit card there and realized when we were already halfway home Sunday. They mailed it to me in San Antonio! Solid place. We will be back again.“

“Beautiful pool side delivery! So fun to eat and swim! Really wonderful staff, super kind girl with blond hair in braids helped us today. Shrimp was pretty good, but the fried pickles, mahi tacos and fries & ranch dip were all really good! /salad was not so good. Highly recommend the prickly pear margarita, absolutely delicious !!!“

“I wish we had discovered the Phoenix on the first night of our vacation in Port A, instead of the last night. I’m willing to bet that the Phoenix has the best menu and finest food within 100+ miles. We had a scrumptious shrimp-topped fried tomato appetizer. Husband enjoyed a gorgeous steak, and I had the triple tail fish with a coconut and pistachio sauce that was very possibly the best fish I’ve ever eaten. The menu has a slight Japanese flair which adds some amazing new flavors to the menu. The sake was incredible while others bragged on the Phoenix Martini.
The atmosphere indoors is not exactly romantic. Very utilitarian and due to its small size, it can get noisy, so don’t be heading there for a quiet candlelit expensive dinner date. The outside eating is lovely however!
Perhaps the only thing that was disappointing was dessert. Coconut cream pie was just a little above average, not sweet enough in our opinion. The lemon blueberry creme brûlée was delicious, but served in a 1/3 cup size metal tin that looked a little like what you might buy in a set of 6 at Costco. Don’t get me wrong…it was very good! Just didn’t compete with our gorgeously plated food earlier in the meal, nor did it look very appetizing sitting there all cold and naked on a white plate! It didn’t keep me from devouring it however, and wishing it was a little bigger!
Service was friendly and fast! We will be back many more times! We made a reservation and I’m glad we did. By the time we left at 7pm on a Thursday night, the restaurant was virtually full.“

“We had my brothers wedding dinner here last week. We wanted a restaurant over the water. Beautiful restaurant. Great Food. Good staff. But it was so cold in there that we all couldn't even enjoy ourselves much less to hang around for a drink.. The thermostat was set at 61 !!! The whole room cheered when the manager came to turn it up. Pretty disappointing considering the amount of money we spent.“

“Virginia's was one of my first stops as soon as I arrived! I HIGHLY recommend the Yellowfin Tuna from the appetizers menu! I went twice during this visit and brought some home with me!!! I have loved this ever since I tried it years ago. Great job Virginia's!!!“

“This restaurant did not disappoint. The food was deliciously fresh and the service was impeccable. If I go back to Port A, this will be my first stop for lunch or dinner. By the way, we had lunch on the first day we arrived and ended our last evening with dinner there.“

“My most favorite place for brunch 🥂 My greatest challenge is deciding what to order because WOW…it’s all amazing!!! The Benedict choices are all super great 😋 and every Hash is amazing 😋 but the Waffle Tacos are beyond what I can describe with words 😋 The food is amazing, service is excellent, and you can’t beat the relaxing view. My favorite way to spend a weekend morning ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Dinner is also amazing, but I am particularly fond of brunch 🧜♀️ ☀️“
