They even gave us some baklava on the house to try. The Knafeh was delicious. Loved how it's not an overindulging/sweet dessert but instead light, crunchy with a pleasant honey touch. I definitely recommend this dessert and will go back again.“

“Did you know that kolaches have 2/3 less sugar than donuts? I wholeheartedly recommend this quaint kolache bakery in South Arlington! The family who bought the business from Mr. Kenner in Feb 2025 is super kind, accommodating and generous. The fruit kolache dough is so pillowy, and they have lots of really delicious flavors of filling. The sausage kolaches are equally good. If you are looking for a local, family-owned bakery with yummy and unique breakfast pastries, this is IT! They can also do big orders for corporate/private events and church functions!“

“My husband and I ordered two signature cakes from Sugar Bee Sweets this past weekend. We chose a 2-tier lemon cake with the blueberry filling for the wedding cake, and a 1-tier chocolate cake with caramel buttercream and toffee crunch (with extra toffee pieces!) for the groom's cake. THEY WERE AMAZING!! They were picture perfect and tasted fantastic! Also, the online ordering process was very easy and the young lady who helped us pick up our cakes was extremely friendly and helpful! I highly recommend this bakery for any occasion!“

“We were on the hunt for a traditional Brazilian cake for the groom’s cake. We looked and looked until we found Jana with Marvelous Cakes & Pastries. I picked up a personalized tasting box from her and brought it home. After one bite of the peaches and cream cake, Rodrigo knew that she was the one (He said: “That’s It”). We had tried so many other bakeries, but it just wasn’t right. Jana is from Brazil and does things as they do 'at home.’ This was a special piece of Brazil that was a great touch to the evening. Jana was amazing to work with and just look at the cake – it tastes even better. It didn’t last but thirty minutes after cutting the cakes. I have already ordered from Jana again for other events. Go check her out, she will blow your socks off with her flavors and is so easy to work with.“

Service is also really good. All kids work at front are really nice. Will be back to try special Banh Mi soon

“These are the best fried pies by far! The CRUST! THE CRUST! Just like my dear departed mother's! Ingredients are the same with all pie crust but Mom said it was all in the technique. The hand. Evidently Mindy Lu must use a similar technique. I was introduced to Mindy Lu here in Del Río at the 5 Points convenience store about 4 months ago when there was an ownership change. “I was very impressed with this donut shop! I've been looking for an alternative to fast food breakfast, and I was happy to see that this shop offered savory sandwiches. I tried the half-moon -- which comes with bacon, sausage, egg, and cheese on their kolache-style roll -- and it was absolutely delicious! More importantly, it sat well and didn't upset my stomach. I also bought a cinnamon roll and a mini apple fritter. The roll was so much bigger than I expected, but it was delicious. The apple fritter was the best I've personally had; I am normally not a fan of them, but the inside was soft while the top was almost caramelized. Both went great with the coffee I had brewed at home. My brother also had a breakfast sandwich (cheese and bacon croissant) and a glazed donut. He loved both. The part I appreciated most, however, was the commitment to their health practices during this current crisis. They've installed high sneeze shields around the entire counter, and the cashier donned a fresh glove before handling my credit card. Due to all of this, we will definitely be back!“

“Not gonna lie, cake was absolutely delicious and I still recommend it to anyone , however my wedding cake didn’t look like what I expected ..that was my only disappointment and it was plain . I expected something a little more based on previous work I’ve seen and didn’t look like the pictures. I looked back at the consultation notes to make sure cause it says see picture but it’s ok it was still very good everyone was talking about how good it tasted and the cupcakes were perfect !“

“We were calling around looking for a donut shop on Christmas. She didn't answer phone but texted us back immediately. She sent a picture of everything that was available. When we arrived she was very friendly. I left with a hug and bag full of delicious goodies.“

I ordered a caramel cold brew which was perfect, a bagel with cream cheese, and a blueberry muffin. All were fresh, warm and delicious. We miss the Italian wedding soup that Olive Garden use to have and they serve it here so we will be back to try that and their tomato basil soup!“

We got a chocolate tres leches cake and wow. This changed my life. I won’t go anywhere else for tres leches (and I’ve been all over) the hunt is over. Go get your cake!“
