“The Black Rose Donut cafe is more than a donut shop. They are open all day and serve burgers, fries, wings, and more. Not only is the food excellent, it is prices way below other places. I have easily paid more than twice as much for food of less quality. If you like good food, low prices, and supporting small businesses, you should definitely add them to the top of your list of places to try!“

“Very cool little pet store with bakery! We've been here several times prior to the name change. We've always loved this place. The assortment of bakery items is unreal, so much to choose from. They also had plenty of bones, flavored & unflavored. And tons & tons of chew toys, so much to look at considering the space. The people working there were so sweet, very helpful; even gave our dog some frosting to sample. Prices were just right considering the specialty items. Great experience! Thank you for helping our dog have a wonderful birthday.“

Both cakes were absolutely delicious, and the service was exceptional from start to finish. Everything was so thoughtfully done, and every detail was executed perfectly. We received so many wonderful compliments from our guests! We couldn’t have been happier with how everything turned out and highly recommend them for any special occasion!“

What really made the visit stand out though was the blonde girl working there. She was super friendly, patient, and had such a positive attitude. “The hubs and I stopped by for a bagel and coffee. We ended up ordering more lol. He had the bagel Sandwich and a muffin which was amazing! I ordered a caramel cold brew which was perfect, a bagel with cream cheese, and a blueberry muffin. All were fresh, warm and delicious. We miss the Italian wedding soup that Olive Garden use to have and they serve it here so we will be back to try that and their tomato basil soup!“

One standout favorite was the Brooklyn Blackout cake—it was hands down amazing. Rich, decadent, and perfectly balanced, it was a huge hit and left a lasting impression on everyone who tried it. Deanna has a gift for creating desserts that are not only stunning but unforgettable.
If you’re looking for custom desserts, treats, or cakes that taste as good as they look, I can’t recommend Deanna Robinson and The Kid Kakes enough. She is talented, consistent, and a joy to work with.“

“I have driven to the Hulen St. Unrefined location for 4 years to order my nephews’s special corn and gluten free vanilla cake with strawberry frosting for his birthday. My sister told me Cookies, Crust and Crumb bakery was now owned by Unrefined and it was in Hurst and much closer for me. Ordering was a breeze and the cake was the best one we’ve had. They said they quoted me a much lower price than normal and would honor that price. I wear hearing aids so didn’t hear the price quoted and told her I was prepared to pay the correct price and she insisted I should only pay what she quoted. I was very pleased with the service and the cake got rave reviews from all who ate it even our server at our restaurant celebration raved about the cake. We should have picked up cards from the bakery to hand out! Great experience all around. Highly recommend.“
