The staff was incredible — genuine, attentive, and passionate about making sure everyone feels at home. You can tell the owner has poured so much heart and soul into this place, and it shines through in every moment. Vic and Al’s isn’t just a restaurant…it’s a place where memories are made. “We recently rediscovered Shoal Creek after several years. Since we’ve last visited, there must be a new chef/kitchen staff. Our last four visits (in 3 weeks!) have been great!

The boudin balls before were ok, but they were often dark and overdone.
This time around, the boudin balls have a light & crispy batter and have the perfect amount filling and spicy sauce. Delicious!
It’s been fun to come watch football on Sundays and take advantage of happy hour prices. We’ve had friendly service throughout, with exceptionally great service today from Stephanie!

“We had the best experience here! Yesterday, we celebrated my daughter’s 21st birthday brunch. Our waiter Ian was amazing! The hostess was so kind and accommodating! She let me come in a little sooner than our reservation so I could set up the table with birthday decor! The food and drinks were delicious! We had a beautiful table out on the patio for 12 and Ian took very good care of us! Thank you for making my daughter’s birthday brunch so special! “I saw The Shore on my Google map and clicked on the link. I saw their Happy Hour Menu and noticed they had 1/2 price Oysters and several other choices. We decided to stop there on our way back home. We got there at 3:30 and found that they would not open until 4 pm due to an earlier water leak. We asked if we could just sit at the bar until they opened because we really wanted to have oysters for our anniversary. The manager said since we were wanting oysters we could sit at the bar and get drinks and the oysters. Chef Cody explained all the different oysters offered and we decided to let him choose the oysters and we were not disappointed . He chose the gulf coast, summer time, Black moon and pink moon. All the options were fresh tasting with just a touch of saltiness . We also had the mussels with fries. We have not had mussels this good in a very long time. the broth was thick with butter, wine and capers. The grilled ciabatta bread was so buttery and crispy we ordered additional pieces. The calamari was lightly breaded rings and tentacles and were heavenly. We also tried the Hi Mexican Lager on tap, it was light and smooth. Our bartender was very sweet and helpful with our choices. We also would like to thank the manager who being so accommodating to us and making our 42nd anniversary so special. We will definitely stop there again!!!!!“

“Holy Cow! Brisket at Switch Barbeque in Dripping Springs is some of the best you will have in Texas. The chopped beef sandwich is a generous portion. tithe potato salad is so creamy and tasty you need to make sure you get it. Burnt Ends! These are not covered up with some sugary stuff to make them taste good. They are stand alone. Our waiter Barry was outstanding and the beer is served in frozen mugs. Can you get better than that? It would be difficult.“

I’ve since developed Gluten allergies and my undying craving for crawfish was being disappointed until the very sweet bartender said we can work with this. Let’s find some options and I’ll get the manager and figure it out. The result was awesome!! Sautéed in butter and seasoning with a baked potato. Fantastic! Help from the bartender the manager and kitchen saved the day!!!! Craving well satisfied. I can’t recommend enough. Great food. Amazing staff, beautiful ambience.. excellent experience. “WHELP it finally happened!

I finally got to a place i really wanted to eat at, because i have been here before and i absolutely love the food, only to find out i do not have enough to tip. I was devastated.

However, our server was not. She actually was amazing throughout our entire experience. She made us feel like family. From the complimentary butter, to the oh so properly dressed drinks, she was 100% on point. And i did not tip. My goodness i felt like royalty with the level of service that this server/bartender was able to provide. Almost immediately upon entering we were greeted with a coloring page for our child. Now that is top tier. ALSO, i was otw to the bathroom, the same server looks down the hallway and says the code for the door! I didn’t even know about the keypad! This woman was on top of absolutely everything!

I absolutely love this place and cannot wait to come back to make up for my misdeed.“
