About El Rinconcito Salvadoreno

El Rinconcito Salvadoreno is a hidden gem for Salvadoran cuisine in Austin. The Salpicon and Sopa de Mariscos are highly recommended dishes. The pupusas are heavenly, especially when paired with the delicious curtido. The tamale de puerco was good, but the meat to masa ratio might differ from expectations. Freshly cooked plátanos add a taste of Central America to the meal. While the food receives a solid 5/5 rating, the excessive use of disposable plastic ware and occasional wait times for food preparation may be a downside. Additionally, be prepared for possible cash-only payments if the card reader is down. Despite minor inconveniences, the restaurant's unassuming ambiance doesn't take away from the flavorful experience.

They were out of all tamales except the pork so that must mean they’re good. Pupusas were delicious, the cabbage slaw was amazing, plantains were perfect, and the salsa was spicyyy...read full review
