“Great place!! Prices are good, and staff is friendly. The BBQ place is awesome and so delicious. Their Ribs and brisket is always hot and juicy. Our favorite sides are the Mashed potatoes, Mac n cheese, roasted potatoes, and the mixed vegetables. They are always hot. We love the broccoli salad and banana pudding too.“

“Parking is a little odd in this area-- old carwash with a roundabout kind of space. The food is excellent. Plenty of meat is provided with the baked potato(see picture). We tried the sausage and some chicken. You can't go wrong with either. The macaroni and cheese is to die for - creamy and delicious, definitely homemade tasting. Don't forget to try the sauce! It has a slight kick but really enhances the meat. Potato salad is good, too. It doesn't taste mustard-based, but it is yellowish with a vinegar or pickle flavor. We also tried the stuffed jalapeño. Great flavor with the brisket on it. What can make it even better is if the bacon was crispy and maybe some cream cheese thrown in.“

“Excellent beef brisket sandwich, in fact the best I’ve ever eaten. The Mac n cheese & vinagar slaw were the perfect compliment to the sandwich. Highly recommend and will be back!Only disappointment, this is not really a sit down eatery. But the food and friendly service is definitely worth the trip!“

“Absolutely FANTASTIC BBQ!! So glad we listened to the Google reviews. Any place that’s been doing BBQ since 1959 has got to be good, and it was. Absolutely flavourful brisket, ham and ribs AND the mac’n cheese and potato side, can’t remember what it’s called but it’s creamy and garlicky..OMG!! Amazing! “It’s 2024. This my first time here. I won’t be my last. Rib sandwich was so good, I forgot there was barbecue sauce in the bag. Dip one of the ribs in the sauce. I didn’t even need it. Order with a side of potato salad. I was not disappointed at all.Parking: I personally parked directly in the front. You can park in the lot the building seats on or across the street. For free“

“So im driving down the street an the radio station mentioned this as a black local business my fav so I pull up almost couldn't find the place because it's inside a gas station but baby when I tell you the meat was tender and the sauce was on point with the potatoes salad swear I sat in the parking lot for tens minutes trying to stop eating great place hats off to the person that smoked that meat it definitely tasted like my grandma's kitchen definitely a great eat I'll be back“

“Man I’ve been going here for like 2 years now and I still love this place hands down the best ribs here it’s the only thing I get from here now literally falls off the bone and very juicy and tender and the sauce is so immaculate 10/10Vegetarian options: If your a vegetarian i would recommend you to try the baked beans, smoked cabbage, baked potato, salad, and green beans although I haven’t tried it.“

“Great time at this Texas Roadhouse. Our server was fantastic and came by every couple of minutes to make sure we were okay. Everything came out fast, hot and just how we ordered it. Left me with nothing bad to comment about. Would love to go back!“

“Went to Slabs to kill some time and try out a place I'd never been before. Saw reviews and got curious! The service is the best around, probably one of the best customer service experiences I've had ever. As said before, went to kill time so that I could wait out a bit of my commute. However, didn't know there was nowhere to dine inside! Being 100+ degrees outside, I did not want to have to wait out my commute in my car. Asked the guys working if they knew of any parks or seating where I could eat, and they offered me a chair! Honestly good vibes while I was sitting and eating. One of the guys working offered me water with my food (got a half rack of ribs, delicious! Soaked in a bunch of delicious BBQ sauce! Very tender, flavorful), and when I showed him that I'd brought my own water bottle offered to put some ice in it. Very, very thoughtful. Hands down, amazing food, chill atmosphere, and EXCELLENT customer service. I will be coming again even though it's a bit out of my normal way. Thank you Slabs BBQ for a great experience and dinner!!“

“I really like the nice feel of a family owned business I found them on google maps a mom and daughter own it and they had the granddaughter at the cash register she was friendly and I got a pickle from her? I prefer the catfish it was good and the fried okra also they have regular tartar sauce and spicy as well I will be back. They serve soul food plates on Sundays!“

“Was not pleased with the service at all. The sad thing is we had the same server last time and couldn't believe difference. Greeted us with these first- there will be 20% added to all parties larger than 8 and no split checks for parties over 12 (we only had 9 so wasn't even needed to say) then began to treat us like we were trash. Let me remind you we are celebrating Mother's Day and was not even told Happy Mothers Day. Forgot to bring the drinks, had to remind him. No plates when apps were served, waited over 5 minutes until he came back to ask for plates. Brought sweet tea instead of regular, that's fine so he went back and got regular tea then forget to bring the sweetener that we ask for when we ordered the unsweet tea. Honestly just issue after issue making our Mother's Day lunch not as enjoyable as it could have been. We will return because we enjoy the ambiance but will make sure he is not our server next time.“
