“Dee is the best hostess, first and foremost! She is definitely the hostess with the mostest! She is a hands on owner that makes you feel welcome from the start! The potstickers were amazing! The crispy chicken tacos were cooked to perfection! The batter was perfect! The deserts were amazing! The bread pudding was the best I’ve ever had! The banana pudding was fantastic! Tracy, the sweet lady, that waited on us was amazing at her job! We had a fabulous experience. I recommend anyone ,from around here or just traveling through, to not pass up on the opportunity to visit the Bayou Bistro!!!’”

“My wife and I celebrate our wedding anniversary every year on June 28th. We make our reservation for table 6. The receptionist was on target and very polite in showing my wife and I to our awaited table. Our server was Alizah, excellent service with a smile, attentive to our requests, expedient service. We started out with the bread and olive oil, excellent Pina Colada and wine. Our annual appetizer order of three cheese bread with crab spinach dip. Main Entrees was the 5 crab stuffed shrimp with fresh asparagus for my wife. I had the grilled redfish, shrimp, scallops with asparagus, steamed squash, zucchini. We were savoring every bite!!!! To finalize, Alizah had brought us a complimentary cheesecake dessert with cherry flavor Happy Anniversary scribed for a great photo opportunity. We received our bill, very comfortable with cost, recommended 20% gratuity, plus a $2.00 bill for our server attendant and the chef for mucho Suerte and Pura Vida !!!!”

“Island Time became our watering hole on our recent vacation and we were so happy with our experience. The staff was amazing, especially Julie and Josh, the drinks were fantastic, the food was your typical bar food but it was good, and the drag show was entertaining. The only negative that our group had to say was that the drag performers were a little too push for tips; literally putting their hand in front of you for a tip. This happened a few times to us, and others, and when we tipped them one of them rolled their eyes and said “that’s it”. Other than that, we had a great time and would totally go back to this fun and welcoming place.”

“Let me tell you about my evening at the Shrimp Shack in Galveston—it was the kind of experience that makes you want to write poetry about fried seafood. The shrimp? Perfectly golden, crispy, and so fresh I swear they waved at me from the fryer. Each bite was like a little crunchy hug from the Gulf. And as if that wasn’t enough, the sunset decided to show off. Sitting there, stuffing my face with fried shrimp while the sky turned shades of pink and orange, I felt like I’d hit the jackpot of simple pleasures. Shrimp, sunset, and sea breeze—what more could you want? Highly recommend. 10/10, would shrimp again.”

“Please use whole leaf iceberg lettuce on the burgers instead of shredded lettuce. With the tomatoes, it makes the bun soggy. Catfish and shrimp are excellent. Bartenders are awesome!”

“I had the Steakhouse Skewer with lobster, filet mignon, and colossal shrimp. It was fabulous, but next time my husband and I will share it. So much food! We were staying at another resort and had no way to take home the leftovers. Our waiter, Ricardo, was absolutely amazing. He made everything so wonderful. My only complaint, which is huge, is about the majority of the clientele. Loud, obnoxious, men wearing backwards caps and shorts in a very elegant atmosphere. When i go to a rather expensive restaurant, I would expect to see better behavior. So many were acting like it was a sports bar.”
