The crispy chicken tacos were cooked to perfection! The batter was perfect! The deserts were amazing! The bread pudding was the best I’ve ever had! The banana pudding was fantastic! Tracy, the sweet lady, that waited on us was amazing at her job! We had a fabulous experience. I recommend anyone ,from around here or just traveling through, to not pass up on the opportunity to visit the Bayou Bistro!!!’”

“This is a nice sweets and ice cream shop in old Galveston. Access to the shop is tricky for elderly or handicapped due to high curbs on the street and limited parking. However access to the shop is easy and there is a small one person lift to get you up to the store area.”

“This is a great little place to eat!! I had grilled shrimp taco's and they were wonderful.! The other dishes that were ordered were just as good! Hamburger steak, pizza, grilled chicken po boy. Everyone enjoyed their meal and the price was just as accommodating as the food was!”

“Island Time became our watering hole on our recent vacation and we were so happy with our experience. The staff was amazing, especially Julie and Josh, the drinks were fantastic, the food was your typical bar food but it was good, and the drag show was entertaining. The only negative that our group had to say was that the drag performers were a little too push for tips; literally putting their hand in front of you for a tip. This happened a few times to us, and others, and when we tipped them one of them rolled their eyes and said “that’s it”. Other than that, we had a great time and would totally go back to this fun and welcoming place.”

“This was a lovely dining experience from start to finish. The restaurant was decorated so nicely for the holidays, and everyone in our party (ages 1-61) was treated so well by the staff.

The food was cooked perfectly from the steaks to the seafood. I enjoyed a red snapper Wellington which I’ve never seen on a menu before anywhere. So unique and delicious. The bread pudding for dessert was flavorful as well. We’d definitely return!”

The food at Coop’s is absolutely delicious. Fall off the bone ribs, super tender brisket, great side , and the best banana pudding I have ever tasted. The prices were very reasonable with large portions. Highly recommend you give this play a try.”

“Had the pleasure of going there with my son and Linda and Lisa were soooo nice. They let us try the custard Ice cream Mango, Strawberry and Rasberry Pistachio were to die for!! Great service!! Highly recommended!! I’m from FL and 2 hours away from were we were staying and it was worth the drive and Lisa even gave me ideas to visit in Gavelston while we visited Texas. Will return soon.
