“I finally tried their hamburgers after living in Brownsville for 52 years. I was surely missing out. The burgers are simple but full of flavor. The menu is simple. No french fries. They do sell small bags of chips. The location is just a hallway with nine half tables protruding from either wall which accommodate one person on either side. I took my order to go and enjoyed the burgers at home because the inside felt hot and stuffy even though they had air conditioning and ceiling fans. The burgers are worth the trip. Place has been in service since 1922. They must be doing something right.“

“The food and atmosphere give you that old school diner feel. The burgers taste great! The milkshakes are creamy and delcious. The fries, tots, and onion rings are fried to perfection. It was surprisingly good. It took me back to that shopping store diner that used to be at places like Kress and Woolworth. I would definitely recommend this place for a family night out or hanging out with friends.“

“We stayed in Brownsville for 4 days and we went to a few snack places and all were trash UNTIL we found this outstanding place!! Besides the wonderful lady attending us, the snacks were the best I have had in the valley! Everything was made fresh and tasted soooo good!! Totally recommend and we will be back! We ate everything and I only got a picture of the super delicious churros .“

“Best burgers in Brownsville and it's no contest. You want a hot and I do mean hot, and fresh burger you come here. The meat has great flavor and the buns are hot and slightly toasted. Fries are thick unlike the sticks they serve at fast food places. They have the friendliest people working there as well. My grandmother and I come almost weekly from the other side of town just to get our burger fix here. This burger beats anything from Stars, Whataburger, Rutledge, and so on. Hope they never change a thing.“

“Finally got to try these burgers and they did not disappoint. Very good flavor and the fries had the perfect amount of seasoning. The elote was good too just bit too much mayo for my liking. I will definitely be back.“

“I went with friends on 7/28/24, keep in mind, we all are a mix of eaters. There were no complaints! The atmosphere was so comfortable and nicely designed, as for the food. The food was delicious and great portions. I LOVE fries and when I say they served us great portions of fries...I'm talking that the fries took up half the plate. Definitely recommend and will be coming back.“

“The banana split was amazing. I ordered 2 strawberry and a pineapple. That banana split was amazing. The person in the intercom was little down but the greeting was there. I made the person laugh after being silly. So I am glad they had a sense of humor. 😊 Always like the dessert from dairy queen. For sure good customer service area. 😊“

“Great authentic food here. Delicious and seasoned to perfection. Someone was celebrating a birthday, celebatory music started to blast out of the built in speakers and out came a server with a slice of dessert with a sparkler. I bet that person felt special. It was great to see.“

“Love the burgers here. I don't understand why the other location closed. Maybe it was just the traffic area. The only reason why I don't go often is the commute to it. You get everything to the comfort of your car, and there's no rush.“
