“This Cafe is part of "The Palms Resort". Meet up w/friends who were staying there. The Cafe was small w/outdoor seating. The day was cold & windy so outdoor seating closed. 14 tables inside that seated 2-4 ppl/table. Reasonable prices and great service. Offer daily and early bird specials. Had apps, Reubens, coconut shrimp, quasadillas & adult beverages. Sharable dishes if you want. Lots of food. Limited parking as it's part of the 36 room resort. Friends got a room for $89/night. Right off the beach. Small & cozy rooms. Another hidden gem. They serve breakfast, lunch & dinner.Parking: Parking spaces on both sides of The Palms Resort/Cafe. Like everywhere else on S Padre island spaces are small & hard to come by.“
“The food was really good! Found this place on Yelp and decided to try it out. Customer Service was top notch and food was REALLY good. The only complaint that we had is that we consider ourselves 'Gumbo Connoisseurs' and what we tasted was NOT gumbo, but other than that it was delicious!“
“Gourmet burger joint with a retro diner vibe. Open kitchen layout. Everything comes with fries. The smokehouse and bacon cheddar burgers are recommended. The rocket burger is also popular. The fries were hot and crispy perfection.They have vegan milkshakes with coconut whipped creme! They also have vegan cheese for the burgers. And gluten free buns.They can easily handle a group of twelve, maybe more if you call ahead.13 stools at the counter, plus three chairs. High table for eight, four high table for four, 11 booths for four, 7 tables for two, two larger booths for six. Easily 100 seats packed in to this strip mall location.Easily best burger place on the island.Service was fabulous.“
“They were super packed and still did great being under staff. I asked if they close at 10 because that’s what the map said and the gentleman at the cashier said they normally stay till 11 if they have customers which is awesome. Food was great as well.“
“We shared a fish plate with 2 sides for $20.The grilled fish was delicious. Lots of choices for the sides rather than French fries. Really liked the flavorful grilled veggies: onions, mushrooms, zucchini and summer sqaush. Plenty food for both of us. Even had some Mexican rice left over. Next time if a bit warmer, I'd like to sit outside on their patio.“
“This place is so great. There’s an older lady who works here…not sure her name but she is the sweetest last I’ve ever met. Service is great, food is amazing and so fresh and it’s right on the ocean so the atmosphere couldn’t get any better. Plenty of seating too. Cashier is also super fast at cutting the line quick. 10/10 would recommend.“
