“I’ve been coming here with my family ever since I was a kid. The staff & the owner make you feel very welcome & provide a good vibe and atmosphere. The Food is always on point, my favorites are the Menudo, Silver Spur Taco & the Double Strawberry Glazed Waffles. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. This restaurant is a staple of Brownsville & I recommend anyone visiting the city to experience Toddle Inn.“

“It was good for some basic Mexican food. We had the tacos al pastor.. which came with just onion and cilantro.. no pineapple ..double corn tortillas, and it was better with the green salsa. Also, Had a caldo de res..there's only one size, and it's huge, so make sure you have enough hunger to finish it, or you can always ask for a to-go cup..which we did. It was also okay. I had the milanesa de Res, which didn't come with any tortillas, and it was flat and hardly breaded. I had to put a lot of salt and sauce because it barely had flavor. But the service was good. Waitress was very attentive, and the price was alright for 4 plates.. will try again for breakfast. Lunch was meh.“

“This day I went minutes before three in the afternoon and no one helped me. I was waiting for 10 minutes. Bad service from the staff on duty in the afternoon. The girls who are there in the morning are very attentive and friendly. They do their job well and the food is delicious.“

“If you ever had Bigos, this is a great place to grab and go. It's small inside so not the best for dining in, but totally doable.
The quality of the carne asada cannot be overstated. Even after driving back to the hotel and finding a place to sit and eat (15 min) the food was hot and so tender. Seriously, this is not like many fajita places where you are chewing this like a jerky adjacent product. It's soft flavorful and easy to chew.
Sides were tasty but the meat really steals the show.“
