“What a gem! We found this lovely restaurant by accident while driving through on a Mother’s Day roadtrip. We got lucky that this was one of the two Sundays a year they are open (Easter and Mother’s Day brunch).
It was a lovely brunch spread with fabulous Scottish Eggs, chicken pot pie, beef yakitori… too many other great things to mention. Oh but I can’t leave out the desserts! I had a perfect angel food strawberry tort and my mom said her scones were perfect.
We were so happy to find this adorable spot for a rest stop with EV charging in the back. This will be on our annual roadtrip route for sure!”

“Underwood’s has the absolute best Cherry Cobbler in Texas! They will go out of their way to make sure you get some. They have other cobblers too but the Cherry is my favorite! Most of the employees are very helpful and kind!”

“A wide selection of options for sushi and hibachi dishes all fresh and well presented. Dragon rolls, Spicy salmon rolls, Crab Rangoon, seaweed salad Cowboy Roll and miso soup were all delicious and fresh. The service was friendly and prompt. We called ahead for a group of 6-8 and enjoyed a great atmosphere and meal on a Saturday afternoon.”

“The staff is incredibly nice and the service is quick. The serving sizes are light but the food is made with love and sodium. This top tier establishment is a hidden gem of Brownwood and worth a stop if you’re driving through.A/C is lacking but the sweat dripping into your food just adds another layer of complexity into your dish. The flies keep you alert as you fight them for your food. You will never be bored at this delicatessen.”

“We've been to Italy, and this rated up there with the gelato we had in Italy. We had the merino cherry, the chocolate, and the peach cobbler, which was the flavor of the week. Yum!”

“This is my favorite burger and ice cream place. I was unsure about trying them at first but I'm glad I did. Always consistent and good to me. They never complain when I come in late for my order when I need a pick up after dealing with groceries at that place nearby them I won't name. The people there have great customer service and really treat you right. They've been awesome about getting my order correct and I have had zero issues with any food allergies so they definitely clean and practice basic protocols about that or I would have found out the hard way. The frozen custard you just have a ton of options with and I could eat myself sick because it's too good. Their pickles and fries are literally the best too. Do not skip this place.”

“This place is ok but they open at 4 pm (which means the lunch specials are not available), the prices are not the same as on the menu posted on Google, and some of the items are not available anymore such as bbq pork ribs and bbq roast pork off of the appetizers. The only meat on the appetizers available is the terryaki chicken on a stick (i will include what that looks like below) I will post an updated menu as well”

Parking: Unfortunately there isn’t many parking places, it’s more of a get your food and leave place?”

“Very friendly staff, brought out our plates and asked if we needing anything else. I've only ever had food here togo so it was a very nice surprise to see some table service. Great sandwich, got the Chicken Club sandwich with chips and a drink. The sandwich was brought out on a plate cut into 4 slices with was a surprise and nice to see. This is only my 3rd time having McAllister Deli and this sandwich is my go to and very delicious.”
