14 Best Sushi Bars near Bulverde

“9 Piece Sashimi appetizer. Miso Soup. Red Curry basil Chicken lunch special. Wife had summer and spring rolls. Everything was top notch. Oh, yeah...I had fresh mango and sticky rice for desert. Amazing! How do they find Mango so tasty? I can never find it this good at HEB.

We just moved out here and I have not been impressed with local, Bulverde dining options. Can't say that now. This place was pretty awesome. Lucky we have it so close. Local Asian dining option? Check.“

“First time here about a week ago and was good food

Got two chef's choice sushi rolls and a Kirin Ichiban and the wife got a chicken fried rice dish with some sake.

All in all good experience and would come back if invited out and Sushishima was suggested.“

“Our food was exceptional at the Fair Oaks location. Service lacked a wee bit but the food was dynamite and the portions were overwhelming. If you’ve had HEB sushi (it’s mediocre by comparison) you’ll be astounded by this! We will be back. The seaweed and squid salad was probably my favorite and I wanted more!“

“We’ve been coming here for a couple years now, but today was probably the best service and food. Kumori recently introduced All You Can Eat, and Gabriel, our server, crushed it. The timing of each order was perfectly spaced out, where we had little of any wait. He always checked to see if we needed anything else ordered, and we ordered A LOT. He never made us feel like a burden, either, even though I ordered some weird variations (mainly gluten free versions). The food was perfect. It was all together a great meal.“

“The only regret I have is not living closer so I can be here more often! Before I even ordered food, the service was impeccable. My card was compromised at 5am Sunday and although I opted to wait until Monday morning to deal with it, the bank put a hold on my account, rightfully so. They were so patient as I dealt with trying to transfer funds to another account and even started on my order so when it would be ready by the time I completed payment. By the time I made payment, food was packed and hot! We were so hungry, we decided to eat it there. We had no problem eating it in our to go boxes, but they insisted on putting it on plates. The food was amazing! Best Thai food I've ever had here in town. I'm so grateful for a restaurant that has food that aligns with their service and values. We can't wait to return!“

“Sakura is a great local business. Their food quality is pretty consistently fresh and tasty. They could work on their service when they have fewer patrons, but overall I have felt very welcome each visit and I hope for their continued success!“
