“The food was good and the presentation was clean and creative. The sashimi and nigiri pieces were quite large—I ended up cutting them into bite-sized pieces with my chopsticks. The handrolls were a good size and easy to eat. The menu doesn’t offer much variety, but now I know: if I want more options, I’ll just go elsewhere. Still, a solid spot if you know what to expect.“

“Shout out to Chef Nabe! This is the best sushi restaurant in Austin as far as I'm concerned. Great value, and quality for the money you pay. The service staff are great as well as they pay attention to your every need.
Loved all the nigiri, gunkan and simple rolls. Yellowtail, and bluefin tuna belly are delicious!
If your in a mood for sake, get yourself the Drunken Whale 🐋“

“I really like their beef pho as well as their tofu pad thai! I got my food to go as I prefer to watch a movie while I eat in this weather so I didn’t spend too much time inside the restaurant, but I think going forward I’m going to continue to order my food to-go. There isn’t inherently wrong with the atmosphere, but it wasn’t super homey or welcoming like I expect at this kind of restaurant.“

“Tadashi is a solid sushi spot in our neighborhood, and it’s great to have a place like this nearby. This time, we ordered Salmon Fatty Nigiri, Ebi Nigiri, and Salmon Nigiri. The Toro Tuna was excellent—something that’s rare to find at this level in Austin. The other nigiri were also well-prepared and fresh.
Unfortunately, they didn’t have Sea Urchin Nigiri this time, which is usually one of our favorites. The atmosphere is pleasant, making it a great post-movie stop, especially since it’s located in a plaza right by the theater. Reliable, high-quality sushi for the area, and definitely a go-to for a casual but well-executed sushi experience.“
