“For the last three years my friend and I go to Sequin to pick up girls from Texas Girls State. We found this restaurant and have been back each year. The food is incredible and the service is friendly. This year we discussed that eventhough we will both be retired, we will need to volunteer to bring the girls next year just to go to this restaurant. I had ordered spicy lobster dumplins and Tom Young noodle soup. I could not believe how great the soup was. The dumplins were good, but I had to transport the soup home. The next night my husband and I shared the rest of the soup, and my husband could not believe how flavorful the soup was and could we get more. I may have to travel to San Maros just to get more soup.“

“If you’re looking for the best sushi in San Marcos, Otsu is it.
We ordered the wonton soup, Shaggy Dog roll, Chef’s Special roll, yellowtail nigiri, shrimp nigiri, octopus nigiri, a bento box, and the General Tso’s plate and every single dish was outstanding. While everything was delicious, the sushi completely stole the show. It was unbelievably fresh, incredibly flavorful, and easily some of the best sushi we’ve had anywhere. It’s honestly unlike any other sushi we’ve tried in San Marcos.
The service was just as impressive as the food. Everyone on the staff was so warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind, making the entire experience even better.
Otsu has officially become our new go-to spot for sushi nights. We can’t wait to come back and try even more of the menu. Highly, highly recommend!“

“Wow! Super place! They are moving to a new location soon during my conversation with employees however, it was clean and the food was VERY fresh for 9:00PM that I decided to drop in. They really are open till 10 o’clock! The staff is very friendly. They keep your drink full, they have different flavors of ice cream you can scoop for dessert. they had fresh melon cut with watermelon and pineapple and it was all fresh and delicious! There is something for everyone in this place! The new place is going to be a few exits down from the existing location now and I can’t wait to have this place again! Those that know me, know, I am picky about where I eat!! Did I mention they do not use MSG in their food!? Yeah, if you’re looking for some Chinese food late at night or during the day, this place is the place to go! I’ll be back!!!!👍🏽👍🏽“
