“Fantastic food and great service. The crab Rangoon were on the small side but perfectly fried. I had the Tom Yum soup, which had an odd sweetness to it, but was tasty otherwise. The crispy tofu were well-cooked. My partner had the Flying Tiger chicken with orange sauce, which had the best tempura breading I've ever had in my life. It was also a massive dish that easily served the two of us and left me taking some of my soup home to finish.

It's a small restaurant but everything was cooked to perfection. I'll definitely be returning, and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great meal to warm themselves up with.

“On a road trip, my daughter and I saw the pizza photos on Maps and had to try. So we drove 20 minutes out of the way for pizza and it was worth it. The crust was crispy, perfectly cooked, good sauce and right amount of cheese. She got the chicken pesto pizza and I got the meat lovers. It's more expensive, but we stop at random places all the time and Sapores Pizza is worth it.“

“We had a wonderful time at J. prime last night for our anniversary. It was our first time visiting and we were so impressed. We called to inquire about getting a table at 9:30 at night after our previous dinner plans fell through due to a canceled reservation. J. Prime had our table ready at 9:45 when we walked in the door, complete with red roses and a handwritten Happy Anniversary card! Above & beyond, from the beginning. Our server, Laura T. was immediately so accommodating, friendly, and completely knowledgeable about the menu. She asked about our food allergies (we can’t have dairy) and made sure everything was tailored to meet our needs the whole night. The food was lovely and delicious - lobster tail bites, truffle fries, beet salad, Caesar salad, grilled broccolini & filet mignon. The flavors & sauces were great. For dessert we were brought a beautiful fresh sorbet with a sparkler to celebrate 💜 Laura made our night! “First went there earlier this year, impressed us the minute we walked in the door, employees greet you upon entering with a truly warm, illuminating smile. When we were seated, we wanted to watch a certain game and the manager, Laura really went out of her way, bent over backwards to ensure they found the game(s) we wanted to watch, then ensured that the games would stay on ! The waitress who waited on us ( can't remember her name ) was exactly like the manager, helpful, courteous and quick with her service, thus resulting in making this our favorite location for watching sports with the drinks and menu items to order, with this type service, we will always make this our number 1 location !! Both of us were in heaven over the butter cake. I loved the arugula salad , which was dressed JUST right. The wine selections were perfect. We had a hard time deciding what to order because everything sounded so good. I got the special-carrot cake pancakes and egg flights. Let me tell you, when I say absolutely delicious! The French Toast at Mae Dunne Kitchen & Goods had me hyped. They use brioche, a bread known for its richness and potential for thick slices, but the final product was just above average.

While the toast itself was good, it fell short of expectations, especially considering the price. Like many places, the it was thinly sliced, which felt like a missed opportunity. Imagine a fluffy, three-bite stack – that's what I was hoping for.

On the bright side, the bacon was delicious, and the fruit was decent, though a touch sweeter would have been nice. Presentation-wise, there's room for improvement.

Overall, Mae Dunne's French Toast is good, but not mind-blowing. If thicker brioche slices become an option in the future, I'd be back for another try.“

“We hosted a Celebration of Life at BJ's Brewhouse, Hwy 281 N. Could not have been more satisfied with the atmosphere, service, and especially the food. There were 80 of us with the Pizza and Salad Buffet. EVERYBODY there remarked how wonderful how wonderful the pizza and service were. I've heard terms like "never had pizza this good", "the service was excellent", "wonderful place." I highly recommend this particular location for events. EXCELLENT.“

For cocktails I tried the Maracuya (welll-balanced, fruit forward but not too sweet) and Club Esmeralda (balanced with fresh herbaceous essence). My husband had the Saltao’ Sour (balanced Mezcal cocktail but not too Smokey with egg white for a nice finish) and Hola Oaxaca (Smokey cocktail balanced with the Orgeat). I recommend trying them all! For food we started with the Nikkei Cebiche which was the highlight of our meal. The fresh Yellow Fin tuna layered with flavors instantly had us ready for a second visit. On to the Piqueos section of the menu where we enjoyed the Yucca Frita, Conchitas a la Parmesana and Anticuchos. Each a warm dish with continued fresh flavors. For our main course we shared the Chaufa (fried rice with pork belly, sausage, egg etc) again layers of flavors and a hearty portion to share. We completed our food journey each with a glass of wine, he a Sauv Blanc from Chile and myself an Albariño. Please come enjoy this lovely gem in Southtown. “We found this place on Google and it was close to our hotel. We all loved it. Everything is made on site or grown locally. My hubby loves "meat porn" so this was his place. When you first walk in, they have their homemade meats hanging in a meat locker. I thought he was going to lose his mind! Pizza and dessert was beyond fantastic! It all is fresh AF. No joke. “Absolutely love this gem in North San Antonio! The chicken katsu curry is devine and cooked to perfection. The curry sauce is simple but well balanced and full of flavor. They also have some of the best crab rangoons I've ever had in the states. Will definitely be coming back and highly recommend this small intimate experience.“
