“First time coming to Mariscos El General. Food was delicious, the black salsa was AMAZING. I ordered a cántarito and my boyfriend ordered a michelada they were so worth it. Our waiter Dylan took great care of us. Definitely will be coming back. We live in Katy and it was worth the drive. They also have live music and it was super enjoyable. Thank you Dylan and mariscos general.“

“We came the first week of April (our first time there and we were visiting family in Texas), and I never had crawfish until my sister ordered 3lbs of mild lemon pepper crawfish and OMG THEY WERE SOOOOO DELICIOUS. I wish you guys can expand your business here in North Carolina because they would see my face every pay day. The environment and waiter was AMAZINGGGGG. When I come back to Texas, I will be coming back to the restaurant“

“We love this restaurant. It’s been a Highlands staple for longer than I’ve been around. Portion sizes are awesome Carla and her crew are wonderful. Dad eats there quite often and don’t sleep on the fish special. The fish nuggets are amazing and the perfect way to enjoy this type of fish. :)“

“This is my favorite crawfish place (when I dont want them swimming in sauce).
The crawfish are always good sizes, and cooked sooo well (come of of the shell easy) and packaged well too (hot when I get home (30 mins away).
Plus they run offers often, so the prices are unbeatable“

To not have discovered this little 💎 of a place sooner than a few months ago is beyond me & they’re right around the corner from our house, lol. Everything from their homemade tortillas to frijoles al la charra 🫘 gorditas 🥙 to tacos 🌮 to sopas to menudo 🥘 & top notch customer service is 💯 & overall it’s just worth every cent spent! I tried the large fried shrimp, fried scallops, fried squid, hushpuppies and fries. They were ALL delicious!
I was really surprised at how good their crinkle fries were! Their corn/Jalapeno hushpuppies had a great flavor as well.
Highly recommend this spot for some good seafood and Cajun delights. 💯“

“Mainly Hispanic customers and usually crowded but the food was pretty good. Mild was still really spicy. They don't have alot of drink options. The crawfish don't have much flavor which was a bummer. Sucks to say the corn was the best out of everything.“

“Yesterday was our first time dining at Main 101. We've been wanting to go for a couple of years, yes years! We are so glad we did. The food was phenomenal & service was great. My only suggestion is to change the decor in the restaurant. The way the food tastes, this deserves to look like a fine dining restaurant. We will be back. *Shrimp scampi is stuff dreams are made of. 😋“

Parking: They have a fairly large parking lot but it was very busy and the lot stayed near full capacity. In my opinion that just means it is a popular place.“
