Because it's a food truck there was limited seating and almost no shade in the hot weather. I think this may be my new lunch spot on days I go to the library to get work done.“

“I don’t get to visit Freebirds as often as I’d like, but this location at 700 Earl Rudder in College Station is by far my favorite. The restaurant is exceptionally clean, the food is fresh, and the staff are consistently friendly and welcoming. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a smile, and it was clear the entire team worked together like a well-oiled machine. They seemed to genuinely enjoy their jobs and each other’s company, which created a great atmosphere.
Jenn, the young lady who served me, was outstanding. She treated me like royalty; walking me through my options, preparing my meal with care, and even taking the time to ask about my day. Her kindness and attention to detail really stood out.
My food was hot and flavorful, with every ingredient perfectly balanced in each bite. And let me just say, the sweet tea was spot on. I left with a full stomach and a smile. This Freebirds location truly goes above and beyond.“

“Polly's had a dip in quality after COVID, but they are back to being fairly consistent with food and service. I always order the beef fajitas, and the last two visits they have been fantastic. I'm so glad because I missed Polly's so much. Best fountain Dr. Pepper in town.“

“I’ve been getting tacos here since they opened. The tacos at pretty good and are tasty, living out here past Elmo Weedon, this is a close place to grab a quick bite that brats fast food restaurant. The only thing I wish they had was a loyalty rewards program for a free taco after so many tacos purchased. Aside from that, it’s good food, it’s a clean store, and the customer service is really good“

“We finally gave this place a shot, and wow! I hadn’t eaten pupusas in a while and totally forgot how good they are. My wife and I each got two, and I would have ordered more if my wallet wasn’t screaming, “No more, please!” I’ll definitely be coming back just for pupusas to go. Those things might be my new food obsession.

The plates we got were okay but nothing amazing. My wife got three loaded chicken tacos, and I had the fried chicken with plantains. The chicken was a bit dry, but the plantains were really good. The waitress was super nice and explained some of the menu since it’s mostly in Spanish. Without her, we would have been totally lost. Also, the menu is huge, so we took a while to decide.

The place itself is small and crowded with tiny tables, but that is exactly the kind of vibe you get at an authentic Salvadoran restaurant. The chef (and owner?) checked on us a couple of times, and you could tell he really cared about us liking the place. That kind of attention is rare.

It’s a bit pricey, especially for lunch. So like I said earlier, your best bet is to get a bunch of pupusas at $3.49 each. Honestly, three or four of those would have been filling enough and cheaper than the big plates.

Bottom line: Pupusas are the real stars here!“

“Y’all I’m loving this new scenery! My family and I went to pickup food to help support the Alzheimer association and I’m so glad we did. We went in to see some of my new ALZ friends and got to hang out with some of the bartenders while we waited on our orders and the staff, drinks, and atmosphere was lovely!! Y’all don’t miss out and check them out.
Maybe food wasn’t the best due to it being in container, cold and soggy by time we got to nursing home. Flavor was pretty good. The chicken fried steak was the special for that day and it was small portion, understandable. But I’m hoping it’s much larger since it’s normally $19.
