As I walk in the restaurant the gentleman welcome me in and explain to me about the level of hot ?. lol I got the light hot chicken tender with fries. “Today I finally tried Layne’s, it was wonderful. The chicken is so much better than Canes or Slim Chickens. This is the best chicken I’ve had besides making homemade tenders, which is exactly what it reminded me of. The chicken was tender and the crust/batter is crispy. “I usually order for pickup. My first impression of this place was that it wasn't kind of place I expected (it's in a strange neighborhood). But my food is always hot and fresh, and I'm usually in and out within seconds.

Trip's special is the fried fish, mac, slaw, and a drink. Fish is legit; seasoned well, crispy coating, moist and delicious. Gotta have it with the tartar. Mac is nice and cheesy with good texture. I usually don't like slaw, but Lisa's slaw is sweet, delicious, and really helps to cut down the grease. Recommend throwing in some hushpuppies too.

Chicken is pretty good most of the time, it stays crispy, tender, and juicy for a while. Not mind-blowing delicious, but homestyle and very good for the value you get out of this place. “The staff that work this location are wonderful. Not the usual aggressive attitude issues you typically find at other Popeyes locations.

The food tastes incredible, I'm pretty sure they put crack in the ranch, it is so good.

And the food has to be good because you WILL get diarrhea after eating here, almost every time. But it's worth it.

Just make sure your toilet is ready to go and paper is stocked about an hour after you finish eating, and take a hot shower afterward.“
