As for the atmosphere, I think it's too small of a location for their operation. It's not really inviting for dine-in customers. “We hosted a Celebration of Life at BJ's Brewhouse, Hwy 281 N. Could not have been more satisfied with the atmosphere, service, and especially the food. There were 80 of us with the Pizza and Salad Buffet. EVERYBODY there remarked how wonderful how wonderful the pizza and service were. I've heard terms like "never had pizza this good", "the service was excellent", "wonderful place." I highly recommend this particular location for events. EXCELLENT.“

“I'm not exaggerating when I say this is my favorite place to eat in San Antonio. Located near the airport in a tucked away location, RO-HO Pork & Bread is a hidden gem. This is comfort food at it's finest. Ro-Ho has many great things on the menu, but they are best known for their Torta Ahogada, and it's what I get almost every time. The torta is always hot, the carnitas cooked to perfection, and the tomato salsa is to die for. You can get the torta with straight carnitas or you can mix it up with carnitas, pork stomach and skin, which is what I usually get. The torta also comes with cabbage, onion, radish and lime. No matter how you order it, it's going to be great! The place is super cool, with Mexican artwork and music. There is inside seating and an outside covered patio as well. Everything you can get to drink from the cold case is always ice cold. And they serve one of my favorite Mexican beers, Victoria. Chef Rojo is often around and greets customers. The ladies that work the register and food line are so friendly, and will answer questions if it's your first time. The place fills up quickly at lunch, so keep that in mind. I drive clear across town for my Torta Ahogada fix, if that says anything! Check this place out!“

“My wife and I are here for a reunion. We're staying nearby and love Mediterranean food. Pasha's was near and we dropped by blind. This is the best decision. We came in right after the lunch rush and though the restaurant was still somewhat full we were quickly seated and our drink orders were taken. The drinks were brought along with a very large warm pita and a dish filled olive oil, feta cheese, and, ground oregano (?). I could have made a meal of that alone! My wife order salmon with rice and I order the lamb shank stew. After a short wait, the meals were brought to the table. Please understand, I'm a big man with a huge appetite. The moment I saw my plate, I knew I was going to need a "to-go" box. If you and your significant other love a hearty meal but you don't eat large portions, I recommend ordering one and sharing this!. I trave the world, this is the best lamb shank stew I have ever had! The meat falls off the bone and the flavors explode! The salmon, according to my wife was grilled to perfection. A light crust on the outside and very moist on the inside. During our meal, the owner would visit every table to see how his staff was doing. Our server was outstanding and we showed our appreciation to him. After dinner, we ordered baklava (both pistachio and cashew) to-go. (I took a bite of the pistachio already, it's homemade and quite delicious.) The next time we're back in San Antonio, this will be a mandatory stop. For those who live near here, please put this on one of your places to visit. I promise you, it will not disappoint.“

“We recently tried Chef Joe Asian Cuisine and had a mixed experience overall. We ordered shrimp fried rice, beef lo mein, chicken wings, and crispy fried chili chicken. Out of everything, the beef lo mein was definitely the best—flavorful, well-cooked, and the kids really enjoyed it. However, the rest of the dishes were just average compared to what we’ve had at other authentic Chinese restaurants.

The shrimp fried rice didn’t have much flavor, and the chicken wings were a bit plain, lacking the seasoning and crispiness you would expect. The crispy fried chili chicken was decent but not particularly memorable. While none of the food was terrible, most of it didn’t stand out or make us want to rush back for those specific dishes.

On the positive side, the restaurant itself has a pleasant environment. It’s quiet, clean, and family-friendly. The waitress who served us was very nice, attentive, and friendly, which made the dining experience more enjoyable. Pricing is also reasonable, making it a decent option if you’re looking for a casual, affordable meal.

Since 2016, I'd come here and work my butt off as busboy and lemme tell you, there were easy and hard times but managed to pull through the days work. Props to the kitchen staff for making tortillas made from scratch, though I don't know how much has changed but I'm sure its rather the same. As for the staff? Can't say for sure. I only remember three individuals from this establishment plus our wonderful cook (sorry, don't remember name, but he was a 1-chef machine that knew how to operate just about anything in that kitchen). That would be Dany, Yvette, and Melanie. Oh how the times they are a changing.

P. S. I found the spicy orange sauce! It's located in downtown San Jose. They're called La Victoria. 😜
