“I ordered online and picked it up for Carry-out. Ordering online is super easy and quick. They got the order done and ready in under 20 minutes. The food was so fresh and tasted delicious. I ordered the (half) pepperoni rolls as an appetizer and a Greek pizza with pepperocinis. When I walked inside the building the atmosphere was friendly and many people were enjoying themselves. “I do recommend smoothie king, just not this location. Yesterday morning I went in there with my brother after the gym, it was around 6:15am. We ordered our smoothies and after focusing on the menu the whole time we finally took a glance around because we were being bothered by fruit flies. It was then when we realized we did not want to consume anything from there. The flies were most prominent over the blenders. One or two around when fruit is involved is understandable but the mass amount was troubling. It looked like their blenders hadn’t been cleaned. But that’s not the worst, there is a roach infestation. That was the point we asked for out money back. We apologized but could not be comfortable eating anything from there. The employee said he understands and that the roaches have been a problem they are trying to fix but they can’t get rid of them. They should temporarily close to fix that problem then. The roaches were in the basket of prepackaged snacks on the counter. They were on the counter that is used to make the smoothies, and crawling along the counter wall. I couldn’t even wait for the refund I had to leave my brother to it, I’m terrified of bugs and it’s really disgusting to see the amount we saw.“

I had the pleasure of trying their Siagon Lungo, which quickly became my favorite. What truly sets this cafe apart is that they source their coffee beans directly from their own farm in Vietnam and roast them right on-site. The roast master was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to show my fiancé and me the different varieties of beans and explain the roasting process. It was fascinating to learn about the craftsmanship behind each cup! The coffee itself is nothing short of delicious—rich, smooth, and perfectly brewed. The inviting ambiance of the cafe made it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy my daily caffeine fix. I can confidently say I’ll be ordering online to keep enjoying my new favorite roast back home. “We were here the week before Labor Day last year, in 2024. It was our 1st time in Corpus Christi and we just happened to see it from the bridge and decided to try it out. Moving back to CCTX has been fun as I get to check out all the new (to me) venues. This venue, BAR (stands for Bar Under the Sun) is located in downtown Corpus Christi and was fun to check out. It happened to be a Sunday Funday type of day - hung out on the outside cocktail garden area which is pet friendly while listening to a local musician who is a lead singer of a band here. This upbeat establishment use to be the Greyhound Bus Station back in the day. The decor was chic & classy and loved the offered yard games. The signature cocktails were divine. The bartenders were so impressive. Parking was easy breezy. The atmosphere was sexy & attractive. There is a great food (kitchen) option but was so hungry that I failed to capture photos of Achiote Grilled Chicken Sandwich & Pimento Cheese Firecrackers; maybe next time. I would definitely go back here for a future happy hour, etc.“

“This is one of those great hidden gems that you have to know about to find. We came late in the day, and honestly, I wasn't expecting much, but I knew I wanted to try this place. Parking is limited—we actually struck out on our first pass and made a quick trip to Target—but on our second try, we found front-row parking. It was meant to be!
​The service was excellent, provided by a hardworking young lady who made sure we were well taken care of. The appetizer (skinny fries) came out quickly; they were a perfect snack before the meal and came with four different sauces, all of which were delicious.
​While waiting for dinner, I looked around and was reminded of what makes our city so awesome. It was a diverse crowd—from Chicanos with tattoos to a family with four kids—all enjoying the great country music and atmosphere together. Good food really does bring everyone together. Between the waitresses dancing and the whole restaurant singing along, the experience was awesome before we even took a bite.
​They were out of chicken strips that night, so we ordered burgers. I got the 'Riptide,' which was excellent—especially when I added some of the leftover sauces from the fries. All in all, this was a great dining experience and very affordable. Our waitress told us that she had actually been helping out in the kitchen earlier and taking care of tables so we made sure to thank her properly!“
