“Literally best of the best, everything they make is extremely fresh high quality and flavor is off the charts. I’ve travelled many times to Mexico and eaten around Austin’s taco trucks for many years. This is the one I keep coming back to. Meats, tortillas, salsas especially the dark red one is very hard to beat. Staff/owners are great also. Try everything you won’t be disappointed“

“Birria was ok it’s nice value because they give you 4 decent sized tacos.. 16 bucks before tax the green salsa is good the red was.. I can’t remember tbh
The first time I came here the guy was kinda rude but in his defense he seemed overwhelmed by the customer rush hour.. try these out if you love birria but taste wise you probably won’t be back often unless the location is convenient for you“

“You must eat at this place! The people are friendly and the flavors are awesome. Pro tip: dip in the red sauce then the green. It’s so good and I really felt taken care of. I love this place!
I put 5 for atmosphere, even though it’s a food cart. I added that because the people are great and they’re great chefs too. I’m really satisfied with what I ate and I feel full and happy!
It’s also in the same parking lot as a store (Hula Hut) that has a great selection of beers and wines.
Also, the prices are really decent, particularly for the size of the tacos and other items!“

“The BEST tacos I've ever had!!! I visit every time I'm in Austin, often multiple times. The staff is friendly, the outdoor dining space is airy and relaxing, and the tacos will change your life. I've had the birria, tripa, barbacoa, campechano, and pastor, but the buche is by far my favorite! They also have breakfast tacos to start your day off right. A MUST when you're in SoCo. ¡Gracias! Already looking forward to next time.“

“This place is amazing! When you think of hidden gems, this is exactly what comes to mind. My family and I were in from out of state and stumbled upon this spot. The food here is top notch quality, fresh, and more than fairly priced. The owner cooks everything himself and is as nice as they come. We had several breakfast tacos, and as we tried them they just kept getting better! The salsa is a little spicy, but exactly the way I like it. Don’t hesitate to try this spot!“

“I had beef burrito, served on a plate with grilled cheese and mayo, no salsa provided. Quite pricy for being just a burrito ($15.5+tax). Taste was mediocre, the beef had little seasoning. I tried to eat with fork and knife and decided it was more convenient to hold it with hands.“

“It was my first time eating at Tejas Birria and I was NOT disappointed at all. The tacos were amazing! From the seasoning to the size of them and the cilantro/onion portions, I was blown away. A lot of limes and a good amount of salsa were also included. I don’t know why I took this long to try Tejas Birria. Likewise, it truly is a local family business. I had the pleasure to meet the family who founded Tejas Birria and they are truly invested in sharing a quality meal and service with everyone. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION AND ANY OTHER TEJAS BIRRIA LOCATION.💯“
