Everyone is pleasant and just formal enough to be professional enough but toned down to be family-friendly. Diana is the manager and she leads by example. If she were to leave the shoes would be too big. “My family and I went to eat Sunday night and we hadn’t scheduled a reservation. We get there and they were able to accommodate a table of 15 with no issues. The servers were so great And explained everything in detail and even separated checks by numbers (which a lot of restaurants don’t do). They had great music, my fave Frida in every corner of the restaurant, great decor the chandeliers looked awesome, it was so clean and smelled so good upon entering. They gave us complimentary appetizers and desserts which were awesome like the queso. I really wished I would have taken pictures of everything but even the most picky family members loved it and said they will def be back. The prices were super reasonable definitely not as expensive as other restaurants. My husband and I shared a parrillada for 2 beef and omg the homemade tortillas de maíz were amazing! It came with a good amount of beef, onion and bell peppers all fresh. We both had our own beans, rice, sour cream, avocado and tortillas. I had a mangonada and it was delightful and the miches were great! Everyone was helping us with great spirit and over all made us feel welcomed! “Allie was very attentive. She was checking on us every 5 minutes. She was very sweet. The only problem I had is when we first got here there were plenty of tables outside and we told them we want to eat out there. The gentleman who seated us said he didn't think that was possible. I of course ask why. He said Quote I don't know .? all in all Allie made everything alright.“

“Met here for a family meal and we will be back. Food was very flavorful and huge portions. Attention to details. Loved the addition of other veggies to the fajita plate and pico! The poblano cream sauce was decadent and delicious. Bailey, our server, was friendly and attentive and made sure we had time to visit and enjoy our meal. She also knew the menu well - the Blue Mule she recommended was so good that I had 2. The only draw back for me was the chips. They were thicker than normal and a little grainy. But the red and green sauces were great. The only reason I didn’t give Atmosphere 5 stars was the parking lot. It’s a little sketchy but there is security. All in all it was a great night.“

“My first time visiting Houston and decided to have Mexican food for dinner, I saw this place near my hotel and stopped because we thought it was so beautiful. The outside patio was gorgeous, it was even more beautiful inside. Wow I'm glad we decided to stop it was Amazing! We ordered the chicken and steak fajitas the steak was so delicious and tender it melted in my mouth and the chicken also so delicious and tender came with a delightful garlic butter. The beans that came with were great. For dessert I recommended the tres Leche cake. The restaurant manager Cane was so friendly and visited with us making us feel so welcome. Our servers Genisis and Wendy were wonderful.“

“Omg the BEST Restaurant ? I've been to other Gringos and wasn't happy and waiting all the time. The waiter was Awesome and made sure my Family and I was taken care of! “I came here during lunch. I got the Lunch’s Gigi Enchilada with Ground beef. The ground beef wasn’t that well seasoned but the red sauce made it up. Rice and refried beans were quite delicious.My co-worker got green enchiladas and the inside chicken was red. Plate was not great.It took a while to get our food when it was simple tex mex food. Wouldn’t recommend if you are in a tight schedule.Parking was easy to find, although when we left it seems all the parking was taken. So assuming it may be quite difficult to park.“

“The food at El Toro is great. This is where I come when I want a more authentic Mexican meal. I love love love the Pasole Rojo. The atmosphere is ordinary & when it is crowded, it can be so loud it is difficult to carry on conversations.“

“Beef Fajitas: Meat taste delicious. Onion and bell pepper were good and crisps. I don't eat beans but these were good. Only complain was very little sour cream, no guacamole and no cheese. Avocado, Lettuce and tomatoes with fajitas is weird and throws off the taste. Online prices are wrong.“

“Went for an early Sunday dinner with family and I have to say everything I tried out was delicious. The chips and warm salsa was fresh. The cheese enchiladas plate had a good sized portion of beans and rice to complement the 3 cheese enchiladas. I also tried the street tacos which are not on the menu but they will make. The 3 tacos were loaded with enough meat to fill the 6 corn tortillas they give you. Our waitress was so nice and before we could get to the bottom of our drinks she already had another coming. I definitely recommend trying this restaurant out. We’ll definitely be back!“

“I can't speak highly enough about The Don'Key. Those folks have been with me through the best of times, and the worst of times. I my ex-wife and I even went there on our wedding day, because we couldn't think of anything better to do with a limo. It was an epic experience. Some nice lady at the bar even bought us all a round of 'ritas because of how 'pasadena' it was for people to hit the Don'Key on their wedding day.The bar is fantastic. Christin is gone, now, but she was __the_best__ at keeping my glass full, and that's what is really important to me. Chris does a great job, as well.Taylor, though. Good grief, if you want to do work and not be distracted by other people at the bar who don't understand what you're doing, get a table with her. She's my favorite waitress ever. It's like being at the bar, but at a table by myself. It don't get no better than that, and I know a little bit about these things. I've searched the whole country looking for a place with a better mix of people, products, and prices than the Don'Key, and there just isn't one.I love the Don'Key, especially when Taylor is there.“
