“I've been here many times. The food is outstanding! Their charro beans are the BEST! Service this time was under par, but it is usually quite good. Sometimes people have a lot going on. Puffy tacos, crunchy tacos, fajitas, taco salad, enchiladas...we have had them all! Nothing ever disappoints!?“

“Visited with friends for the first time for my birthday. The atmosphere was nice with music playing. We were seated in an area that was a bit loud but ok. The lighting was dim as well. Our waiter was excellent. He took all of our orders correctly, checked in on us frequently and brought us dessert! I had the Reata which is one cheese enchilada, one crispy beef taco, and one tamale and choice of rice and beans (I got the cilantro rice and black refried beans). Everything was tasty and the crispy tacos are big! I will definitely visit again and recommend this place as well. Excellent service.“

“Be forewarned they are almost always packed and overflowing with customers. So be prepared to wait. They are one of the better Mexican restaurants in terms of flavor. I am a chilaquiles aficionado and they have excellent chilaquiles. One of the best menu options they have is the fajita a la Mexicana. However I never recommend ordering from them, to go. As the chilaquiles were significantly lacking in sauce and cheese in comparison to the ones served in restaurant. It was mostly just dry plain tortillas not even fried properly. Also the fajita a la Mexicana was drastically smaller in portion as well versus the one they serve as a dine in. I feel like mathematically the portions are over 1/2 smaller.“

The staff immediately greeted us with a smile and were quickly seated in a booth by the bar. Waitress was really nice when we asked for recommendations on food and drinks, she went into detail. THE BARTENDER CRAFTED AN AMAZING TAMARINDO MARGARITA so good I ordered a second one and an ice cold tall perfect pour beer! We ate the birria flour tortilla quesadillas and they were tasty. Love the vibes, the music and decor. Insta worthy for sure plenty of photo ops. Try this spot you won't be disappointed.“

“From the outside of this Shell gas station you would not know that there is a tex-mex burger and tacos restaurant inside. Truly a hole in the wall find.Bonus is that the food is good.Super bonus is that it's definitely less expensive than any other restaurant around.Downsides are they close at 3:30pm, and you have to pay separately for your drinks at the gas station counter. A really big selection of drinks tho.I'll come back. I liked the spiced salts they used on the onion rings too“

The ladies bathroom was impeccably clean and well stocked. Our server surprised me with a beautifully and delicious complimentary Sopapillas with cream and a lit birthday candle. Red River Cantina has nothing to envy their competitors. We all know who they are. Red River is our new restaurant for delicious and reasonably priced TexMex dining! “The waiter Huber basically told us what not to order. NOTE When you come to this location bring your own silverware, we had to share a knife among 3 people. The enchiladas & steak, more like a slice of brisket drenched in a salty cheese sauce. Awful!! The beef enchilada, unflavored ground meat, again drenched in a red sauce WITH cheese. Cancun tilapia again with cheese and 8 tiny cocktail shrimp - no garlic sauce The plate was hot but not the food. At 8ish on a saturday night they only had 3 or 4 tables, no more than 12 people, including us 3 If they were starting to close for the day, they should've close the area they were cleaning. I don't appreciate smelling 'Fabuloso" while I'm eating with the mop bucket next to my table. Really your motto should be "Why are you still in business..." The food was wonderful and consistent on every visit. My husband has celiac disease and must be gluten free. He can have many options here that we don't get other places. We will keep going back!“
