“My friends and I had girls night here on a Saturday and it’s definitely an elevated experience! The vibe has a DJ kinda reminding me of Dayclub in Mykonos? The seafood is great and the drinks experience was even better, i definitely recommend“

“Amazing dining experience. We sat at an outdoor bar table overlooking Lake Austin. We started with oysters and their Peruvian cheese fries while sipping on a delicious Black Forest cocktail. Had the filet Au Poivre. Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection.“

“We really enjoyed this place from the atmosphere to the food and the service as well. The options were different and wonderful to experience something different! Next time, will have to get some meat to go. The only reason I did not give a full 5 stars was because my husband wanted some coke or Dr. Pepper but only serve root beer here due to trying to stay local so it was understandable but missed. I still want to try that huge serving of ribs though yumm looked amazing!“

“This is a small, cosy restaurant with a fusion of Mediterranean and Indian flavours using local, seasonal ingredients from Texas. The restaurant offers a four-course prix fixe menu with sophisticated and creative food (Time Out Worldwide) (The Texas Tasty).“

“I highly, HIGHLY recommend this place. Everything was so good.
First off, there’s plenty of parking in front and to the side of the restaurant (although the side parking may be for the liquor store next door). The spots are wide and could accommodate the huge SUV we rented.
Our waitress, Selin, was superb. She was attentive and remembered our entire order, without needing to write anything down!
We were a party of 4 with 3 dogs. We made a reservation for the patio because we had our dogs with us. We were seated at a corner table on the patio, which gave our dogs more space to roam while leashed and tethered to us.
It was pretty hot and humid outside (we came here on November 7, 2024 at 1PM). There were lots of flies and mosquitos around. Thankfully, halfway through the meal, the waitress put out a mini fan on our table to keep the insects away from our food.
For appetizers, we got:
Striped Bass Crudo - the fish was fresh and flavor was great. A bit too tart for my liking, but still very good. My partner said this was the best, but he usually really likes very sour and tart foods.
Burrata - very delicious. Had the right amount of sweetness from the glaze and great textural contrast with the nuts.
Deviled Eggs - my favorite appetizer! The truffles really put this dish up there. Usually I find truffles gimmicky, but they worked really well here.
Potato Chips (with cheese) - my least favorite appetizer. The chips were good but the dip tasted too much like cottage cheese for my liking.
Fried Shrimp - this was SO GOOD! The shrimp were huge and cooked well. Not too much breading either. The accompanying sauce was good too.
For our mains, we got:
Fried Chicken Sammie - this was really good. The chicken was very crispy and moist and tender on the inside. The slaw on it wasn’t overpowering. And the accompanying sauce was good.
Steak Sammie - I did not get to try this, but my friend said it was ok.
Farro Bowl - This was the best dish we got. The salmon was perfectly cooked: flaky with a crispy skin. The faro was also a good textural and flavor contrast.
Plancha Burger (protein style, buns on side) - At first, this looked mid (you can see in my photos). But, when I dug into the patty, the meat had such a good texture to it. And the flavor was amazing! I could tell that it wasn’t just a regular old frozen patty from the grocery store. The pickles and onions were also subtly tart and sweet, which I really liked.
Our friend originally booked a brunch reservation here so she could try the birthday cake dessert, but the waitress said that’s only served during dinner. We didn’t blame her because they close up at 2PM for brunch, and it was already 2:15PM by the time we finished our entrees and asked about dessert. However, our waitress was so amazing!! She asked the chef and they said they could prepare the dessert for us because it was my partner’s birthday. So, she brought it out with lit candles and added it to our bill (she gave us a new one because she already printed out our bill).
The price was fair for what you’re getting. Things ranged from $12-$22.
Overall, the food was phenomenal and the service was amazing. I highly recommend coming here when you’re in Austin!
Parking: There are 10 or so spots in front and maybe 8 spots on the side (though the ones on the side may be for the liquor store next door).“

“My wife and I took our kids to Space Cowboy for my son's birthday and had the best time! The food and service was 5-star. I wanted to say how great Jared was at serving our table. He was knowledgeable of every aspect of every dish! This restaurant competes with any restaurant in Austin for creative, delicious, and experiential food. The robot food delivery tracks are awesome! Thanks for a great birthday dinner!
Kid-friendliness: Our kids are both under 10-years old and loved this place! The room makes you feel like you are floating through space and sky because of the lit up moons and fun clouds with dark navy and purple walls/ceilings. Our kids loved to take the food off the robots. We felt very comfortable with them there. It has very nice restaurant food but a really fun, relaxed atmosphere.“

“Sat at the bar. Manny is a phenomenal bartender who made us several awesome, custom creations of his own design. Very impressed by his skill and creativity. If you catch him, ask for his special old fashioned "The Artist in Flight".“

“The food: presentation and flavor are beyond compare. The quality was amazing! The ambiance was wonderful and historical. I was the only person dining, so the service was a little slow considering- but she was awesome. Highly recommend. Quantity of the food seems small for the price, but the food is filling.“

“We visited "STELLA SAN JAC" during our Austin trip... and we had a great time. We tried several of the best and most inspiring cocktails we've ever tasted. Manager Edwin put us at ease with the best comfortable service, and every cocktail he recommended we were very impressed with. I will definitely recommend my friends to visit this place, I want to go back and try the cocktail again on my next business trip.“

“I was impressed. Every dish we ordered was unique and bursting with flavor. The wait staff was amazing and service was fantastic. The details of each dish made this restaurant stand out. I have not been to a restaurant in a long time where I truly felt it was a unique culinary experience and you can really feel how much love the chef is pouring into each entree. Worth every penny.
Be aware that this is modern Asian food integrated with Austin flavors. If you want something traditional, this might not be for you. But, take it from me, you should give it a try with an open mind. Best food in Austin. I never leave reviews, but felt compelled to write this since it was so so so good.“

“I've had Olamaie on my list for awhile and finally had the opportunity to dine there. It was outstanding. Everything we ordered was delicious. I've been dreaming about the catfish, Red Rice Calas and my birthday dessert all week! Everything was well seasoned and cooked perfectly. It is a small restaurant in a cute little house. They do have some parking in the back. The decor and ambience were calming but once the restaurant filled up, it was very loud. That's the only reason I took off a star. The staff were great and explained and made suggestions from the menu. I felt catered to and it was great. I can't wait to go back.“

“A true Austin experience and the best staff, in total, that I have encountered in a long time. The staff and the retro setting set a really unique vibe in the restaurant. Food was very good with the spanish octopus and the rib eye being the highlights. Good, well selected wine list (even if markup is a little high) and a great bar program (Secret Beach on tap at a restaurant....thought I was dreaming).
Chelsea (Manager) was patient with my indoor / outdoor table change requests, despite being a very busy night. Our server was knowledgeable, attentive but not disruptive, and just plain cool....in fact I would say that about all of the serving staff.
Overall one of my best fine dining experiences in Austin. BTW, the outside patio is perfect.“

“Got in after a couple of flights. I was met by very courteous staff and led to clean comfortable seating. Geneva was my exceptional waitress. She was knowledgeable, kind, and cordial. I am glad I stopped here. Will certainly visit again when I am in town.
I ordered the fish tacos and crab hush puppies. They were quite tasty!“

“I absolutely adored this restaurant. It is very cozy and aesthetically pleasing inside. I was suppose to have high tea but they messed up the reservation so we had to do brunch instead. I was really disappointed but the staff and I believe the manager was so nice and went out of their way to atone for this mistake. Our waitress was also very nice and brought us out celebratory champagne. The food was great and the latte was amazing. I definitely recommend.
Parking: They also have complimentary valet parking that is quick and easy. Michael helped us and was great.“

“Karaoke mike sound is one of best I ever experienced ( on Thursdays)...really they should do karaoke twice weekly; staff has been courteous and helpful at all times; Their Xmas decorations were very nice in 2021; observed to be attentive to revisiting customers to intercept any additional wants and needs; their management has achieved attracting a very capable and user-friendly karaoke director; the decorative style of the spacing is nicely interesting with huge television screens to attract attention and provide diversion; a little weakness in the spacing of modest tables so one can walk back and forth without accidentally coming too close to others; observed to be an enjoyable place to visit with a comrade for a diversion and conversation with added enjoyment of being entertained on karaoke Thursdays; observed that a modest group of five or six could easily gather themselves around a table with some optional spacing towards the back that (if available) could accommodate a little more; several burgers are nicely taster and pizza is a sound enjoyable choice, I don t drink so I can offer no comments there, but cola is available; near bus stops is a plus with a convenience store nearby.“

“We were visiting Austin today and decided to try this place for a healthy lunch. Everyone loved everything that they ate! It was all very flavorful without being salty or greasy. Would definitely recommend this place for anyone wanting a healthy but tasty meal. Also worth noting they do serve meat, I thought they were vegan… but was pleasantly surprised by they other proteins being offered. We got the Mediterranean kabobs, ginger miso salad, some kind of Chinese type noodle bowl, and a kids meal with chicken , corn quinoa, mashed potatoes… all delicious!“

“The pasta here was SO yummy! Our group couldn’t agree on which dish was our favorite - mine were the Gnochetti, Johnny Cakes and PB&J dessert! The Wagyu dish was ok. Service was friendly but not super attentive to our group, which was disappointing based on the caliber of restaurant.“

“Only in Austin for a long weekend and stopped by for dinner. Fixe did not disappoint! Beautiful cocktails with tons of flavor. Absolutely delicious meal, our group all got a different entree and shared, each a delight. I could live off of their biscuits with the butter, honey and jam combo. Definitely bring your appetite, we finished our meals with the to die for pecan pie.“

“Really enjoyed this! The only reason for 4 stars is there were a couple of dishes that weren't as delicious as the others. Highly recommend the Ants on a Log salad. The MASH game on the back of the menu makes for a great date activity.“

“Sooo savory and so good. Went for a walk in the Hyde Park neighborhood this evening and decided to stop by here on the way home. Really glad we did. Eating it right now at home. Got the “Steak and Zab” and the “Keto Fried Chicken” – both with veggies. Seems I read that they are adding a ricotta cheese sauce to some items and it IS Really tasty. Hits the spot. You are missing the boat if you do not give these folks a try. Great alternative to cooking at home ! Heck, great alternative to your favorite local restaurant.“

“I really love the salads and bowls at Dish Society. It's a bit pricey, but that's just food prices everywhere. Here you get high quality ingredients for the cost. My friend ordered the tacos and they didn't look great so I'd stick with the salads here and try brunch. I tried a side of the cilantro rice and it barely had any flavor. Their desserts and other treats look good though. I'm very glad this place is in Mueller despite some misses on the menu.“

“Had a wonderful experience at Arlo Grey. We had the oyster mushrooms, burrata, cappelletti, hen and swordfish. It’s family style so we picked a few different dishes. The desserts we got were the sourdough ice cream and banana pudding. Personally the desserts were my favorite! The food was all delicious, seasonal, local, beautiful, seasoned well and large portions. I purchased Kristen Kish’s cookbook. While there she came to our table to meet us and sign my book. She was lovely! Great night and I can’t wait to go back. The service was top notch too.“

“Best brunch in the UNIVERSE!! So glad we made it there while visiting Austin! Everything-food/drinks/service- was perfect!“
“We did a room block here for our wedding in January. While the hotel itself was magnificent and grand beyond measure, the standard rooms are much smaller than we were expecting, especially for the price, but that is normal for historic hotels. They had gorgeous high ceilings and the decorations were lovely, but certain things like the bathrooms and the small, slow elevators reminded you that you were in a historic hotel. We were upgraded to a suite for the wedding and it was magical. My bridesmaids and I had a fabulous time getting ready for the wedding that morning. There were a total of 10 ladies in the room and we did not feel cramped. The staff was very helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay extra special. I would recommend this hotel for special occasions when in the Austin area.
Noteworthy details: Historic portraits and details throughout public areas.“

“Came here on a cloudy Saturday for brunch. We got a seat on the patio right away, despite not having reservations (which I’ll chalk up to the weather). The food and Bloody Mary(s) were beautiful and tasted good, but the poached eggs in my Benedict were inconsistent (one was perfect, one was over done). Service was friendly, but a little slower and less attentive than I would have hoped for“
