“Good homemade food, brisket sandwich was on the salty side and the rice wasn't cooked all the way through but first time it's happened still very flavorful. Mac and cheese is delicious; potato salad is tasty but a lil heavy on the mustard. Fajitas are good but not as tender as I expected.“

“This place is great, the service is that original, authentic southern hospitality service. You feel like your family or like you've known them for years. The other great thing is they have a special for each day. Today (Tuesday) is the brisket burger for $5.75. I ask for the fatty slices and thats what I always get. I order to take so they pack everything separate for me so I can prep and eat when I get home. They do have a dining area as well and it is the perfect Texas bbq dining area. I think Wednesday is the chicken plate special for $7.50. Not one complaint about this establishment. It is worth the visit, I highly recommend.“

“Excluding being a little confused by the "drive through" signage for a non-existent feature, I would give it an almost perfect score. Food was hot and delicious! Service was excellent. Took off a point for the atmosphere because of the noise. While it was clean and the decor was right on, the concrete floor, glass and tin walls, etc. provided no noise dampening, so as it got busy the noise level increased exponentially. Still worth it. Best BBQ I've had in the RGV.“

And I love his homemade French fries! They remind me of the ones my Mother would make. His prices are always reasonable and you get big portions. “Home , RGV to visit family, craving for BBQ and cousin suggested Ace’s BBQ figuring they knew what I loved. At Edinburg location the place was kinda hidden finding out it was well worth it… brisket was super moist, sausage was on spot, as was the pork having ordered the the huge 3 meats botana plate served over tortilla chips w/ melted cheese (I was hooked)! Well presented and served and you got my business when I return home 3 times a year over Rudy’s.. Great Job and keep it up!.. Sides were very good but I was there for the meats.“
