“I am regular GW client and BIG fan as well. I had two good friends visiting from upstate New York who really wanted to see what the GW hype was all about for themselves. “Are they a really a top 5 Texas bbq joint?” After trying GW’s exquisite food and experiencing their one of a kind Texas/RGV hospitality, there was zero doubt left…one of the best in Texas and maybe the country! From the moment we arrived, first in line, I might add, my buddies and I were welcomed and made to feel like part of their team. Our hour and a half wait in line felt like 15 minutes after being welcomed by several of their employees. Then there was the food! We ordered BIG! From their trademark brisket, to their unique sides (like cheesy fideo), the best bite was the next that we took. We were also approached one their magnificent chefs, hosts and awesome co-owner George Watts III. GW really made my friend’s experience a memorable one and again proved that without question, they are one of the best and only getting better. Thank you George and the GW family!“

“Of course this is located inside an HEB, with a nice little area to be able to sit and enjoy your food. You approach the counter to order on a kiosk. The worker was kind with her willingness to help me order since it was the first time. You order and pay on kiosk. You then receive a text of them receiving my order and then in a few minutes, I received a text that my order was ready for pick up. Because I didn’t like the option drinks, I went to the store part and bought what I wanted. My husband ordered a stuffed potato with smoked turkey slices. My husband stated it was good but he removed some of the meat, it was over stuffed. I ordered a poblano & cheese sausage link sliced which came with 2 slices of bread, pickles, onions and bbq sauce; elote bowl and Serrano cornbread. The sausage was not spicy but with a little kick. The elote had pickled red onions on top and plenty of cotija cheese on top, with a lime wedge. The cornbread was not spicy but flavorful and moist. When I picked up my order, it was missing the trimmings for sausage but I walked over to the counter and let them know and they immediately made it right. We will be back to try more on the menu.“

“We found Joe's by accident and thought we would give them a try. We've had his Brisket, Ribs, Loaded Potatoes, Cheeseburgers and tonight his Street Tacos! Everything is always excellent! And I love his homemade French fries! They remind me of the ones my Mother would make. His prices are always reasonable and you get big portions. “Just had 3 of the best barbacoa tacos I have ever had! Ordered 3 on corn tortillas and basically got 6 for that price. Not greasy and the tortillas were perfectly handmade. The way they double stack the tortillas is excellent! The photo speaks for itself! Highly recommend!“

“Home , RGV to visit family, craving for BBQ and cousin suggested Ace’s BBQ figuring they knew what I loved. At Edinburg location the place was kinda hidden finding out it was well worth it… brisket was super moist, sausage was on spot, as was the pork having ordered the the huge 3 meats botana plate served over tortilla chips w/ melted cheese (I was hooked)! Well presented and served and you got my business when I return home 3 times a year over Rudy’s.. Great Job and keep it up!.. Sides were very good but I was there for the meats.“

“Convenient. They sell majority what u need. Also fresh food like tortillas barbacoa, tacos, tamales, breakfast, lunch, carnitas Chicharones... They also have raspados and chips with cheese or other snacks! Great place! It does get busy tho.

Parking: Parking is a lil hectic sometimes but it mostly gets packed in the morning and especially on weekends in the morning.

My server was Gabby and she made my experience 100 times better. One of the most attentive servers I have had the privilege of meeting. Food was very good, and Gabby made sure of it! “I need to upgrade my review for this LongHorn Steakhouse. I noticed I left a 2-star review back in 2017 after a disappointing experience. I've returned several times since then, and, after that visit in 2017, has been consistently positive since. Restaurants tend to have high employee turnover rates, and can have personnel issues from time to time - especially on challenging days when they're getting slammed like on that Mother's Day. So here's my redemption review...

This LongHorn Steakhouse is located on the north side of Interstate 2 (Expressway 83) in Weslaco, in front of the JCP and Academy stores and in between Texas Blvd. And N. Bridge Road.

The current management has maintained the property well. It is a handsome building with the trademark stonework facade, nicely landscaped, with ample, well lit parking. It is handicapped accessible, and high chairs for toddlers are available. It would be good for small groups as well as family get-togethers, and business lunch or date night.

They offer their signature steaks, burgers, salmon, chicken, some comfort food like their excellent mac n cheese, salads, and more.

I met some friends here for a late lunch on a Saturday around 4 PM. There was no wait. Our server did an incredible job, was friendly, attentive, and checked back on us several times. She kept our drinks filled and even offered a to-go cup as we were wrapping up.

The fresh baked bread and butter was delicious, served along with our drinks while we looked over the menu.

I ordered the 8 ounce sirloin, a loaded baked potato, and the crispy Brussels sprouts. I noticed the potato had a lot of salt encrusted on the skin, but since I did not eat the skin, it was not a problem - though it could be an issue for those on low-sodium diets. The Brussels Sprouts were crispy on the outside for the most part... I would have enjoyed them more a bit crisper and with some Balsamic vinager, but they were still pretty good. The steak was cooked as requested and delicious.

There was some background music, but it was at a decent level so it did not hinder our conversation.

I really enjoyed this visit and dining experience, recommend this LongHorn Steakhouse, and based on my last three visits am awarding them the full five stars.“

“The food and service was awesome. The booth back we were sat at was filthy dirty. I didn't see it when we first sat down. As I looked around, I noticed that all the booths that I could see were also dirty. When the waitress asked how everything was we pointed it out to her. She agreed someone wasn't doing their job and she would let her manager know. We would like to go back because the food and service was so good. If we do I will be inspecting the booths and if they are still dirty we will leave and not ever go back. I didn't rate the atmosphere because of the dirty booth.“
