“I went to the one in Southlake, Texas today. These are works of art. You MUST keep them refrigerated. So plan to eat it there or go straight home. They are a little pricey but worth it. Recommend 10/10“

“I can NOT brag on this place enough. I started going here when they first opened by Joes Bait (before Matt and Terri bought it) and it’s only gotten better since! I might go there 4-7 days a week but I’m treated as a new customer that they want to keep forever. Matt goes without saying…hands down always trying to please. BUT Alex, she’s amazing. “Deanna Robinson of The Kid Kakes is truly incredible. I’ve used her for all kinds of desserts and treats over time, and every single item has been absolutely delicious and beautifully made. You can tell she puts so much care, creativity, and love into everything she creates.
One standout favorite was the Brooklyn Blackout cake—it was hands down amazing. Rich, decadent, and perfectly balanced, it was a huge hit and left a lasting impression on everyone who tried it. Deanna has a gift for creating desserts that are not only stunning but unforgettable.
If you’re looking for custom desserts, treats, or cakes that taste as good as they look, I can’t recommend Deanna Robinson and The Kid Kakes enough. She is talented, consistent, and a joy to work with.“

We are huge fans of the red velvet and chocolate chocolate chip which pair beautifully with their cream cheese frosting and are always so moist and wonderful. However, the customer service is what really sets this location apart. I was greeted warmly by smiling faces who were eager to help and watched several customers get in and out super quick while I was there. I had a special request and the owners were happy to try to make it happen and the results were better than I could have hoped. “Best donut shop in the area! Donuts are fresh, fluffy, and not overly glazed. They have a large variety. We usually go around 9am with lots to choose from, but it starts getting busy after that on the weekends. Croissant sanwhiches and kolaches are very good as well. Inside is clean and child friendly. “Really, I really think when you name restaurant “Paris Baguette” that the baguettes should be authentic. Just got back from several days in Paris and any baguette of several that I enjoyed there were completely different. How? Sourdough baguettes are made from a unique starter that makes the bread chewy and flavourful in a way that is quite obvious. San Francisco sourdough is famous for the same reason. Try Main Street Bakery or Central Market as better alternatives. To the French, Baguettes really matter and are the core of Culture and their diet. Otherwise, all the other offerings here are spot-on excellent!“

SweetGypsy was able to deliver and it was absolutely fantastic! “The staff at Great American Cookies (1400 Shoal Creek #110) delivered delicious cookies and turned a lost bet into pure comedy gold! My brother Mitch sashayed in, looking like a Cookie Fairy. A bearded man decked out in a frilly pink tutu, a flamboyant feather boa, and tights! They had him prancing across the street like a giddy flamingo, twirling with exaggerated flair, striking absurd poses, and even curtseying with a flourish!

Mitch threw himself into the silliness, pointing his toes with dainty precision and strutting with a sway that left us all wondering if he was secretly loving his bearded ballerina gig a little too much—way too comfortable in that embarrassing getup! The staff roared with laughter over his spot-on toe point, eagerly asking if he’d return again, and posting those hilarious pics online to flaunt their fun-loving store spirit.

And let’s not forget the actual cookies, because they’re the reason we’d come back again. These treats are next-level: soft, gooey, and baked fresh on the spot. Everything was packaged beautifully, stayed fresh for the delivery Mitch had to make (still in that tutu, bless him), and tasted like heaven. Prices are great, and the store’s spotless, with the staff’s infectious humor keeping the vibe pure sugary fun. Five stars for the amazing treats and for helping with our pink princess!

“Finally tried this place out after driving by for so long. Both my husband and I got the birria tacos plate. The meat was super juicy and beans and rice was good. I would only suggest for them was a bit more seasoning. It was pretty bland even with lime and consomme. I did give 1 star for the delicious churro. We will be back to try their breakfast though.“
