“The Czech Stop in West, Texas, is an absolute legend, and making a pit stop here is an unnegotiable rule every single time we drive by. No matter how busy it gets, we always pull off the highway to stock up on their famous kolaches and klobasneks.
The food is consistently amazing. The dough is soft, sweet, and baked to perfection, and the fillings—from classic prune and poppy seed to savory sausage, jalapeno, and cheese—are top-notch. It is fast, delicious, and easily one of the best roadside stops in Texas. You simply cannot drive past without grabbing a box or two for the road.”

“The brisket was ridiculously tender, seasoned just right, and you don’t even need sauce (but the sauce is still good). Portions are generous, the sides actually hit(that mac and cheese??). Not cheap, but 100% worth it.”

“This is genuinely the best coffee place in waco, and arguably the best ever. I love the atmosphere but most of all I love the message it sends. I’ve made a goal to come at LEAST once a month to treat myself! It’s a must try for sure”

“We ate at Waco Waffle today. They had a lot of business but still got everyone in and with their food in an impressively timely manner. We actually had a small medical issue with our son and the owner was so helpful, wise, and kind. The food was really good but the people there are even better. 5 stars all the way. Thank you. (and our granddaughter loved watching the water wheel at the big window)”

“Came all the way from California to visit friends in Texas. I love me some BBQ so they took us to Papa Jacks. The food was outstanding best BBQ I ever had. The Brisket and pulled pork was the best. Family run and it was like going to a family reunion. They treat you like family.”

“Great food and wonderful service! The waitress wad cheerful and informative! (our first time there) The only suggestion I have is that the chairs were very uncomfortable. It wasn't just our table of seven. I saw other customers struggling. just a consideration to think about. I give the a 4.9”

“Our waitress, Felice, was amazing. She recommended us different wines that suited our palate and our glasses of the different wines were delightful. We created our own board (3 for $25) with Mahon cheese, jamon, canned mackerel, and salchichon. The board came with pickled onions, pickles, nuts, mustard, and some preserves. We also ordered the duck breast which came with a black currant wine glaze and the meatballs appetizer. Everything was delicious from the wine choices to the food. Service was great.
We ended our meal with Abuela’s Tarte and it was perfect!”

“If you have never had a fish taco, let this be your first. It was my first time to ever hear of a fish taco or try one in San Diego in the mid '80s. I have never been the same. Nor have I EVER had a fish taco that even compares. My brother introduced me to Roberto's while he was in the Marine's. When he said I had to try one, I was horrified. A FISH taco??? Those were not a thing in Texas at the time. And bless his heart. I've never forgotten that experience or that taste in Cali. When I found out there was a Roberto's in Waco, I had NO idea it was related to the taco shop in SD. CAN YOU IMAGINE MY TOTAL SURPRISE? Once I tasted that fish taco freshness, it brought me back to San Diego to one of the best things I've ever eaten in my life. Try one. YOU WILL THANK ME!!!!”

“What a wonderful surprise! Don’t let the neighborhood keep you away. I had the gyro plate and the meat was so tender I cut it with my plastic fork…like butter. It was delicious. The hummus was great as well as the chicken kabob. I especially loved that it is family owned and run. A very special place. We will be back.”

“This place was absolutely wonderful! Fast and friendly service and the food was off the charts for what it is a nice little taqueria, I went with the birria burrito no lettuce 😋 served fresh and hot with really good tortilla, very cool little spot with quite a bit of free semi truck parking. Will be stopping again no doubt.”
