“You'd miss it if you weren't looking for it...this "gas station" is filled with shopping and homemade food! We had hot pancakes and eggs for breakfast and if you need anything from shoes, clothes, toys, and mini vehicles they've got it!“

“Bawk Bawk!! Chicken Chicken!!! So this was our second time visiting this establishment and let me tell you that I was so impressed by not only the food but the outstanding customer service. I hate I didn't get the employee's name but he was the ONLY one there working; he was taking orders and cooking the food all by himself. Long story short my son's high school basketball team was in town for a tourney and I suggested this place. We ordered 100 wings multiple flavors and sauces plus fries and he had everything prepared for us in less than 20 mins!! He provided plates and napkins and the boys absolutely loved the food!!! THANK YOU so much for such an enjoyable experience, outstanding customer service and amazingly delicious food. I will always visit you guys when I'm in Waco and def send referrals!“

“Why can't Austin have one of these? Jim's Crispy Fried is the perfect fried chicken joint. It's not a chain, so you can hope there's a Jim and maybe his family benefitting from the $ you spend, rather than some faceless corporation. It's a simple, casual place, with some random handwritten additions to the menu and a praying hands nod to Jesus, who must be helping, to make the chicken as glorious as it is.The pieces are big. On my recent visit, passing through, the delicious breast could have made a meal for me, but there was no way I was gonna leave that crispy wing all on its lonesome. The fries are of the crinkle variety, and are good though not extraordinary. When I was passing back through (okay, I confess, I timed it to hit Jim's right at lunchtime again!), I ordered the 4-piece chicken tenders, which were fabulous and so big I could only eat two. The third disappeared mysteriously around 3 a.m. and the fourth I am not at liberty to discuss.The yeast rolls are yeast rolls. Not a huge fan of those, but I'll dip anything in that gravy (which always needs some salt, IMHO).The food is so fresh you might have to wait, but it is so worth it.In fact, don't wait, just go there now! “Really, Dominos is my go-to pizza where ever I go, this one is a way out in an area I don't visit often, and man, that pizza today was so much better than the last one I got at that store, last year. They are making better food than ever, I suggest you give them a try and encourage them to continue to make better food.“

“Don't sleep on Surf N Soul!! This place is truly amazing. I love soul food seafood, but it's so hard to find great, authentic places like this in Waco. I ordered Fried Fish and Fried Rice. It took exactly 15 minutes to be prepared and served to me. The hospitality/customer service was genuine and friendly. My food was fresh and hot. But most importantly, it was delicious, flavorful, and fulfilling. The fish was battered like chicken, seasoned to perfection, and it's real. The fried rice is definitely my favorite, I love how that was seasoned as well, it taste like rice you could get from a hibachi grill.They did not disappoint at all!“
