“If you have never had a fish taco, let this be your first. It was my first time to ever hear of a fish taco or try one in San Diego in the mid '80s. I have never been the same. Nor have I EVER had a fish taco that even compares. My brother introduced me to Roberto's while he was in the Marine's. When he said I had to try one, I was horrified. A FISH taco??? Those were not a thing in Texas at the time. And bless his heart. I've never forgotten that experience or that taste in Cali. When I found out there was a Roberto's in Waco, I had NO idea it was related to the taco shop in SD. CAN YOU IMAGINE MY TOTAL SURPRISE? Once I tasted that fish taco freshness, it brought me back to San Diego to one of the best things I've ever eaten in my life. Try one. YOU WILL THANK ME!!!!“

“This is my first time ordering from here for breakfast- I am absolutely coming back for the service alone. I placed my order over the phone for pick up, and the gentleman that answered was beyond the most helpful and kind person. He was so grateful and kind for our purchase, and threw in some extra sauces. This is my first experience here and it deserves more than the 5 stars I can give!“

“I was mid-way through a long drive & picked them at random, not knowing how lucky I was about to feel. The workers were super friendly & smiled like they knew a secret. I got a potato burrito with beans, rice, guac, pico, cheese, and even egg. I was worried just one burrito might not be enough but the joke was on me! It was ENORMOUS and omg SO delicious. It was made with fresh ingredients and very reasonably priced. I'll be sure to stop by any time I'm back in the area!“

“I love this place, even more so now that they serve food, The nice lady helped assisted us with renting a uhaul, she was very helpful and understanding of what we needed. When we returned our uhaul the following morning we got some delicious breakfast sandwiches and were on our way, there is so much to choose from we will be back!“

“I wish I would have taken a picture of the food we ordered because it looked and tasted delicious. The carnitas were so tender and had great flavor. Also loved their lemonade. The service was great and our waitress took really good care of us. Definitely recommend.“

“Omg I dont know where to begin. The lady who runs it stayed late so we could order and get food ro start with. The food? Absolutely amazing, being from south texas this is the closest thing to real mexican food since being in south texas! And now for the portions.... 2 or 3 people can get full off 1 serving of whatever you order.
This place is a hidden gem! Do yourself a favor and go eat there and help a small local owned business in the process“

“Awesome owner and cook! It's been a while since we got to eat authentic Mexican food; recent Ohioans. He helped us with the selections, and they were all wonderful! The three sauces, pineapple, onions, and Cilantro just added to the flavor of the meats. It's definitely homey and comfortable. There's also a grocery and beverage store right next door too - convenience! To go or eat in, you can't lose with this location.“

“This place was absolutely wonderful! Fast and friendly service and the food was off the charts for what it is a nice little taqueria, I went with the birria burrito no lettuce 😋 served fresh and hot with really good tortilla, very cool little spot with quite a bit of free semi truck parking. Will be stopping again no doubt.“
