“At the corner of Hwy 181 and SE 1604 in Floresville TX sits a little shack looking like something out of Texas Chainsaw Massacre, that boasts having The Best Barbacoa in The World. We pass it twice a day and have often laughed about it. Shame on me for violating my own premise that the best food comes from the most unassuming dive joints. We finally tried it and Holy Smokin' beef cheeks, Batman. The service is good and the people friendly. The barbacoa is super tender, flavorful and moist, without being greasy. It comes with whole avocados, pico de gallo, your choice of flour or corn tortillas. If you order flour you're doing it wrong. You can optionally get it with the requisite beverage, Big Red. If you order any other drink, you lose your Texican card. It doesn't matter if you hate Big Red as I do. Go Big Red or go home. It has all the ambience of being broken down in your car on the side of a busy highway intersection, which of course is exactly the ambience it should have. They also have tamales and menudo, but online reviews suggest Larry should stick to what he does best--The World's Best Barbacoa--and leave it at that. oh...they only take cash, so leave your credit cards at home, and mindya bizness about if he reports all of it to Uncle Sam. 5 out of 5 stars 🌟“

“Great value in their all you can eat for $28 w/o drink. First serving of brisket was 5 stars. Second serving was mediocre, it’s like after the first initial plate, then you get the not quite as fresh or great cuts. Sides were very good as well, potato salad, cream corn, max all great. Solid service, typical bbq joint vibe. Overall well worth $28 if you go hungry. Would recommend.“

“My wife and I were vacationing in San Antonio and looking for a small place where locals eat rather than the big fancy chains. We found Franky G's with a Google search for "great hamburgers in San Antonio." It did not disappoint! The made to order burgers and house cut fries were ridiculously good and the staff were even better! We can't recommend this place enough!“

“We order an entire meal this Thanksgiving and it was excellent the turkey, stuffing and gravy were excellent. We didn’t expect turkey to be smoked. It was so delicious! With prices being so high, their prices were comparable to H-E-B We made waffles with our stuffing. They were delicious!“

“Bill Miller has a wonderful #4, which includes sweet tea, chicken strips, gravy, and fries. I was given a pretty good portion of everything, and I am enjoying/appreciating the food bar they have once again been having open. I remember many years ago that those food bars also included bacon bits and other delicacies. After so many years, their brownies are still very delicious.“

“Denise needs a follow up on GuestcService. She needs to be shown this comment. She served our drinks and charged us. I asked her is that my Tea and her response was it's there. I asked for onions on your bar since it was empty and her disgust in her eyes said it all. She then took a while to stock the bar with onions. I have always said, employees ruin the business. She definitely does not belong in front counter. Joseph was allot nicer when I asked him a question, she should feel appreciated she (Denise) is not as challenged as Joseph, great guy. If it were not for him I would have just asked for my money back, but the food also looked great and was good. She on the other hand ruins your business. It's a shame to even know you might need her that bad. I'm sorry but she was wrong in her attitude and probably belongs to work at a BBQ place I visited where even the owner there is bad, she would make a great addition there.“

“Food is always pretty good, but it can also be a hit and a miss. Plus, they have small plates now , for example like the salad is very small..
Some days, the chicken strip meal tenders are big and sometimes are small but overall pretty good..“
