“We stopped here on our way back to Oklahoma from South padre. The atmosphere is really nice. I had the pulled pork burger with French fries and Mac & Cheese. All tasted amazing. Our waitress was attentive and nice. The food was super fast getting to our table.“

“Exceptional! Frank’s Tacos is an absolute gem on 3501 S Loop 1604 E. Everything was amazing — we all had the mini tacos, and they were packed with flavor and perfectly cooked. The salsa and charro beans were phenomenal and really brought everything together. You can tell they put pride into their food. Definitely an exceptional spot that deserves every bit of 5 stars! 🌮🔥 They were so good we forgot to take any photos 😂“

“Pros: cheaper than most, fresh even tortillas are made to order, it has a tops bar. Cons: slow for a quick bite, you order, go to a different cashier to pay and come back, because tortillas are made to order it might take 5-10 minutes to get your order.“

“A Mexican restaurant at the end of the River Walk away from all the hustle and bustle of tourists and other restaurants. But make no mistake, this is a must visit restaurant if you want good Mexican food. We had Bloody Mary’s which were probably the best we’ve had. We also ordered the appetizer sampler for two and it was delicious. The bartender was very friendly and made us feel welcome.“

“Ive been here twice now and I dont have any MAJOR red flag complaints but I do have some “minor” complaints…BUT, first ill praise em a ‘lil. The place is very welcoming, it really does look like a MEXICAN restaurant, if im not mistaken, the seats apear to be hand made (im a carpenter in training so i know a thing or 2) and the paintings also apear to be handmade (yes I am aware this has nothing to do with the food itself but it just goes to show how dedicated they are to their job) and its just a nice ‘lil touch. The service is very good as well, they are always asking “Is everything good”, “Is there something else you need” etc etc etc, theyre always very respectful and kind. The food itself isnt the best ive tasted but its not the worst either altho its definitely on the better side of things, altho i have on major complain (yes i know i said i had no major complaints but i changed my mind lol). The first time i ever go to a Mexican restaurant i ALWAYS order a plain bean n cheese just to “test the waters” (if they mess up a bean n cheese then i know they dont know what theyre doing), when i got the bean n cheese…it was cold, the tortilla, beans and cheese (duh right?) were COLD, i didnt like that but after i tasted it i could tell it DID taste well, so i ordered another, and that one was really good (and warm). The sweat tea is also very good IMO (in my opinion), it doesnt taste like they dumped a bucket of sugar into it and it doesnt taste like it doesnt have sugar at all either. The price is…wonky, to say the least, sometimes they charge gratuity (which is something i really hate, i mean why charge the tip, at the end of the day if you DO charge you will just make people NOT leave tip, and whatever percent you charge for gratuity i GUARANTEE you the people will leave a bigger tip) and then sometimes the prices are changed from one week to the next. I forgot to mention but the place is very clean as well! Overall i think this is definitely one of my top places to go get Mexican food. Definitely recommend.“
