“Food: Ordered the Beef Short Rib and Soon Tofu soups, both of which were amazing--the Beef Short Rib had a clean, light, rich flavor and was adequately salted, while the Soon Tofu had deeper flavors that were well balanced and kind of umami. We also had the Seafood Pancake, which had a nice crust, and you can actually taste the seafood (i.e., it wasn't eclipsed by too much pancake batter). Also, can we talk about the Banchan? It was a pleasant assortment, and it tasted fresh.
Service: Great! Nice waiters, quick service (although, we did come on a Thursday evening).
Ambiance: Casual.
Parking: Ample parking. Located in a plaza.“

“4.5 Star Rating.
The food was delicious.
I will give them that.
I thought it was a bit on the pricey side.
Small dining area.
It was also very hot inside.
If you're craving this style of food, go for it, you won't be disappointed.“

“Me and my family have been to multiple Korean bbqs but this one has truly been outstanding. The food, the service, all so good! Truly sets your expectations high. Our server Kevin was very impressive, he was serving multiple tables at a time but yet was very attentive to every single one of them! He truly is amazing at his job! He is very hardworking and always has a positive energy! I truly look forward coming in every time! They truly serve me and my family amazingly!“

“The place was absolutely bustling and had a warm atmosphere inside. As always, the power of the consumer had us daunted with what menu item to choose for lunch. But the waitress Ai Lien made excellent recommendations for us: the special ox bone soup and squid stir fry! We will be back again!“

“This was my very first time dining at Manna Shabu & BBQ (Lewisville location) while visiting for a concert weekend, and I have to say—it was such a wonderful experience! They were even having a special collaboration with a local small business vendor for the Ateez concert and offering a complimentary Lemon Drop mocktail for each diner, which was such a fun and thoughtful touch. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed. I believe it was the owner or manager who greeted me, and when he learned it was my first visit, he kindly explained the menu, the dining options, and where to find the different food and sauce stations. I was then shown to my table where a very sweet server brought me water and took my order. Throughout my meal, two other staff members as well as the owner/manager checked on me often. The service was beyond excellent—everyone was attentive, helpful, and genuinely kind. Now onto the food—oh my gosh, the portions were incredible! I ordered three different meats and was so pleasantly surprised at the generous serving sizes. At most KBBQ places, one order barely feels like enough for a single person, but here, each order was hearty and satisfying. I couldn’t stop raving about it to my boyfriend and mom while on the phone during my meal! The meat was fresh, high-quality, and delicious—even without dipping sauces. The corn cheese also deserves a special shout-out—it was honestly one of the best I’ve ever had. Beyond the main dishes, there were so many great options: hot plates like mandu, sausage, japchae, fried rice, and chicken; a nice selection of banchan; an ice cream station for dessert; and a wide variety of sauces to complement everything. The restaurant itself was very clean, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and even the restrooms were spotless. I also loved that the TVs played some of my favorite K-pop groups and the music playlist was absolutely top tier—it really added to the fun vibe. Dining here as a solo traveler, I never once felt uncomfortable or out of place. On the contrary, I felt taken care of and treated like a queen. It was such a comforting and memorable experience, and I am so thankful for the outstanding hospitality and service I received. I highly recommend Manna Shabu & BBQ and can’t wait to come back with my family the next time I’m in town. Thank you for making my first visit such a wonderful one!“

“I was looking for a place to eat instant tteokbokki, and it was so delicious.
You can adjust the spiciness, there are different flavors, there are various types of rice cakes/noodles, and it's nice because it's clean.
I had a great time eating rice cakes and fried rice. I'll come again.“

“We visited this place last Sunday. It’s very family-friendly and great for dining with kids. I had the spicy seolleongtang, and the broth was very rich and flavorful. We also ordered dumplings and pork cutlet, and the kids absolutely loved them.
Our server didn’t seem to be Korean, but she spoke Korean very well and kindly explained the dishes to us. The service was very friendly and welcoming. Overall, it was a great experience and a nice place to visit with family.“

“We came on a Friday and they had the triangle kimbap available - which was excellent. Got the spicy bulgogi and it was smoky, sweet, spicy, and savory with a great meat-to-rice ratio. Also got the hotteok. We had the original last time we came and it was really really good (we were pleasantly surprised as this was new for us - a honey pancake type snack with nuts) and this time we had the Nutella version which was just as good. Also had the yuzuade which was very very good, it's unique and a delicate balance of sweet, tangy, and refreshing. We also tried their k-dogs this time and they were very large for the price. Everything overall was over my expectations. We remembered this place despite it being months since last coming and will definitely be coming back in the future“

“Today was my first time here and I have to say I really enjoyed it. As you come inside the area is clean and neat. The staff friendly and always with a smile on their face. The portions are great and the price even better. And they even have sides that you can order and take home and they are really nice portion for a fraction of the cost compare to other establishments. Definitely worth it!!!“

“Best gamjatang in the DFW area! The portion sizes are generous, the flavors are authentic, and the service is always friendly. The pork is cooked to perfection, and the broth has that deep, savory kick you look for in a good soup. Highly recommend this spot if you want a warm, comforting Korean meal.“

“My wife and I drove into town from Houston for a wedding. Too tired to meet with friends we were hoping to find a decent place to eat and calling it the night. We landed here...wow! I highly recommend the seafood and green onion pancake...great meal! We also ordered their Korean wings...great flavor and the sauce was amazing, sweet and slightly spicy, the way we like it. I made the mistake of asking for the sauce on the side, thinking it would be too spicy. I suggest you order as it should be prepared and perhaps indicate the leve of crispness that you like for your wings. Overall, great spot for Korean comfort food.“

“Ordered via Uber Eats and was thoroughly impressed. Having lived in Seoul before, I have high standards for Kimbap, and this is as authentic as it gets. The flavors are spot on and exactly what a proper Kimbap should taste like. I’ll definitely be ordering again and can’t wait to visit the shop in person!“

“Tried this place for the first time and was pretty impressed by the offerings they had.
I am not a huge cold noodle fan but they had other dishes that suited my taste.
1. The spicy noodles were not too spicy and they gave you a lot of beef
2. The seafood pancake was just crispy but their wasn’t alot of seafood
The nice thing was we did not need to tip and everyone has to clean up after themselves“

“My first visit! I called in to order, and was told it would be ready in 25 minutes. I went in 25 minutes later and everything was fresh and hot! This was the best Korean BBQ fried chicken I have ever had in my lifetime! The french fries were perfect! Crispy and hot with a wonderful coating and honey butter flavor! This will be my go to place for chicken now! You can see that the staff prepare everything by hand, and the service is exceptional, love all the sauces too! Go ahead and try for yourself you will love it!“

“If you’re looking for authentic Korean food in Carrollton, please give Kooksoo a try. This place honestly deserves so much more attention. My boyfriend and I got the King Rib Jjamppong. The food was absolutely delicious, comforting, and full of flavor, but what really stood out was how kind and genuine the owner was. He personally came out to check on every table, asking if everything tasted good and whether the spice level was okay. You can really tell he cares about his customers and puts his heart into the restaurant.
In a time where so many places feel rushed or impersonal, this felt incredibly warm and welcoming. Great food, generous portions, and genuinely kind service. Small family-owned restaurants like this deserve all the support. We’ll definitely be coming back.“

“This is easily one of the most authentic Korean spots in the Carrollton area. If you’re looking for a place that feels like a genuine neighborhood deli in Korea, this is it.
The highlight of the meal was definitely the **intestine soup**. It is hands down the best I’ve had—the broth is incredibly deep and flavorful, and the ingredients are prepared perfectly. It’s the kind of hearty, comforting dish that’s hard to find executed this well.
Beyond the main dishes, their **banchan (side dishes)** selection is impressive. Not only is everything fresh and delicious, but the portions are **huge**. They really don't skimp on the variety or the amount, which makes the whole meal feel like a feast.
The atmosphere is cozy and no-frills, which I personally love because it shows the focus is entirely on the quality of the food. If you want real-deal Korean comfort food with generous portions, I can’t recommend Ajumma Sundae Deli enough!“

“This is the perfect spot for casually hanging out with friends. Their spicy tteokbokki is beyond amazing. You can truly taste that it’s homemade. The rice cakes have the perfect texture, making it impossible to resist going back for another bite.

“The side dishes are so delicious that I go here every time I go to Dallas. I really like the combination of pig’s feet and makkimchi. It’s better than the jokbal restaurant. We live in the countryside, so we buy a lot at once, and they always provide great service and are very kind. The seasoned crab sauce is delicious, so I buy it often.“

The assorted boiled pork, seolleongtang, and seasoned crab were crazy!!It doesn't smell at all, it's delicious, and I'll be visiting often!!All kimchi is delicious, but green onion kimchi is especially delicious? The marinated crab is tastier than the one you buy at a side dish restaurant, and there is a lot more of it!!“

“I still enjoy LA Hanbat. It’s our go-to for takeout so lang tang. I saw a review mentioning that the name is Dallas Hanbat- the outside sign definitely still says LA Hanbat but I see google listing them as Dallas Hanbat.
I think the previous owners have sold out because I don’t see the same older sweet grandmas that always welcomed me. Still the new owners have been friendly. Quality - I feel like the soup is slightly thinner than it used to be but it’s still good. When I order a slightly larger to- go order they bolster the banchans which I like - in addition to the kimchi and radish which you always get I have received those little pancakes with scallion and onion, some potatoes with sweet gochujang sauce, and some jang ah chee (pickeled onions, pickles, celery and peppers). Really good.“

“So the restaurant is now called
Dalmaekju Restaurant. They moved into a larger space in the same shopping center (suite 115). The banchan were delicious- I especially enjoyed the bean sprouts and the seaweed with pieces of zucchini. I had the Yookgejang which was boiling hot and just the right spiciness. Tons of flavor. Came with purple rice which is nice. Got dried pollack soup take out which was really good too. The ladies who run the restaurant are all very friendly. Great place for hot Korean soups.“

“This place has pretty delicious Pho for a korean take on Pho. The regular pho tastes pretty close to a traditional vietnamese pho if you ask me. I think if they had white onions instead of purple, it would take this pho to another level. Otherwise, I am pretty satisfied with this place. I’ve had the garlic pho on another occasion and think that the regular pho tops it! Overall a wonderful place for a quick lunch“

“Good but a little expensive. I do wish they gave more potato salad in your plate and more pickled radish. It's a small portion compared to the meat, which I guess is good if you like a lot of meat. 👍 I like the grilled chicken and bulgogi. I frequently go here since I work nearby. It's a little expensive at $15-$20 for one meal for just yourself. I can't imagine taking my whole family here to eat but it's good. It's my treat lunch when I want to splurge. 😋“
