“We camped near the tavern and were thrilled to see they had live music on Saturday afternoons. The inside seemed small. Dollar bills stapled to the walls and ceiling. We followed others to a door (covered by dollars so it was difficult to see) into a large dancehall room!

Chairs on the front sides of the stage are old movie theater seats. So comfy! The musicians put on a great show. People were dancing and cheering and singing along. Who would have thought it was afternoon. The drinks were good, not cheap, but the place is a work in progress. Musicians do all the upkeep and updating and they are working on a shoestring.

We didn't eat there but they do have a food truck on Saturdays.

Bathroom is small and odd, but it gets the job done. People were all friendly and having a great time.

Support this place if you are in the neighborhood--or go for a drive and visit anyway!”

“We are long time locals in the Canyon Lake area, but today was the first time we’d tried this wonderful coffee shop and bakery. We are staying in a nearby airbnb while our home, that was hit by a tornado, is being repaired. Even though we normally don’t go out for coffee and pastries for breakfast, we decided to do so this morning and treat ourselves. What a pleasant surprise! Such a quaint place with aromas of freshly baked pastries and fresh coffee, and a very friendly young lady who helped us make our selections with suggestions. We ended up with way more than we could eat, but we will enjoy the rest of them tomorrow morning. We’re so glad we discovered this gem!”

“The BEST Egg Rolls that I've ever eaten! The homemade Crab Rangoon, the Beef Fried Rice and the Sweet and Sour Sauce were really good too, but those Egg Rolls were the best! Called in the order and picked it up to go. Very polite on the phone. Tiny little out of the way place, my husband thought he was lost. But the food was ready when they said it would be.”

“First visit this morning. Cute shop, fairly busy for an early Sunday morning (before 8am). Heated spinach pastry, fritter, & coffee were all quuite good. Girl behind counter was friendly & polite, & place looks clean inside. Will go back when in the area!”
