“The food is decent but the cinnamon crunch bagel is abysmal at best. I have frequented panera breads across the country for over a decade and the cinnamon crunchy bagel at this location tastes like plastic and chemical. The other local one in killeen is not much better...the cinnamon crunch bagel.“

“I’m not sure when it happened, but somewhere along the way, I became a loyal customer of Bite the Bagel in Killeen. Since I work just a few doors down, it’s turned into part of my morning routine: drop my bags off at the office, then head right back out for breakfast. The staff is always so welcoming, greeting me with big smiles that instantly brighten my day. My favorite server, Sam, has even memorized my order already, which still impresses me every time! “My wife and I went to Acropolis for three years as our regular date night restaurant. When we first started, we were enraptured by the atmosphere, food, and people that work to make this place something truly unique. We at first came for the consistent quality of the food, the wide selection of wines, and the awesome live music. However, we stayed for the people; patrons and employees alike. It’s the incredible staff and friendly regulars that make this a truly one-of-a-kind spot, and it gave us a place of familiarity and comfort from the chaos. What started as conversations over drinks and listening to Garrett’s performances turned to late nights with friends and memories that we will cherish for a lifetime. In 10 years of moving and traveling around the country, this is was the hardest goodbye.

To the whole crew at Acropolis, especially Sam, Heather, Zima, Garrett, Jume, Deanna, Laney, Julie, Penny, and Tabitha: thank you for your friendship, the jokes, smokes, and patio talks. We’ll carry that energy with us wherever we go. You all are incredible people and we hope to see you again.
