“A nice bakery with a large selection of pastries and breakfast items. They have an extensive variety of macarons, so you’re sure to find one you like. For breakfast, we ordered a Croque Madame. It was good but a bit dry for my taste. All dishes were served in take-out boxes. The Paris Austin and macaron were delicious and moderately sweet. The Napoleon was crispy, though the sweet glaze on top was a bit much for my taste.“

“I haven’t tried panera in a while cause I used to be obsessed with their Mac and cheese. Everytime I’d been recently it was really watery. I called this Panera cause I wanted it so bad and basically asked if it was watery. Thomas was AMAZING. Not only did he give me his assurance that it was good he said the Mac and cheese would be on him. he did not disappoint. Give this man a raise!!!!!“

“We had my granddaughter's first birthday party at this venue!!! We could not have asked for a better experience. If you forgot something, they had your back. Kids all had fun playing while adults enjoyed the conversation. I did not sample the drinks or food, but those that did raved about them. Great job!!!! Highly recommend.“

“We found this spot on Google and were pleasantly rewarded with fresh food, good coffee, attentive and friendly service, and absolute value.

The menu selections were diverse and clearly made with quality ingredients. We visited twice. I had the avocado toast ($10.50) on the first visit and it was well-seasoned and creamy, the bread was toasty, and the tomatoes were flavorful. Just delightful. The second morning I ordered the Thunderbird Acai bowl ($10). It was phenomenal. I love cocoa nibs and it's seldom that I find them in the wild. The bowl was practically overflowing with ingredients. I could live off the peanut butter. Unbelievably good.

The coffee far outshined the watery excuse we were served at the hotel. Robust flavor with great aroma and body. I went for drip both times so I can't comment on the espresso drinks or teas.

When we arrived the first morning, an employee gladly held the door for us and welcomed us. He held it for us again when we brought our dishes in. Both mornings everyone initiated pleasant conversation and seemed glad to be there.

The thing that stood out to me the most was the value. This food and coffee somewhere else - worse food and coffee, frankly - costs far more and it's prepared and served with less consideration. We will return next time we're in town.“

My favorite is their sausage, egg, and cheese, but they have a nice variety to choose from. “My wife and I had a wonderful lunch experience here on a relaxing Friday afternoon. The burgers were fantastic, the potato salad and tomato soup excellent, and the iced tea refreshing. They have really nice outside seating that is shaded, coupled with a very nice indoor space. If you are in River Place or nearby, this place is a great lunch option. Their prices cannot be beat, and the lady who took our order and made our food was very helpful and kind.“

“I haven’t been here in a while and it was nice to go back. The food was phenomenal. It’s not cheap, but you’re not going to the bistro in Nordstrom for a “good deal” anyway, right?I got a cup of their legendary bisque and it was so delicious while not being overly creamy and rich (in my opinion.) I also got the lump crab, avocado and mango salad and every single ingredient was fresh and tasty and the dressing was just a perfect accompaniment- not overbearing. Their hot tea selection was also great- had a jasmine green that was lovely.Here’s the unexpected part: I sad at the bar so in full view of the kitchen and the back and forth between the manager/expeditor, servers and chef/cooks. I spent several years working in restaurants and I was just floored with how incredible this crew was! Everyone was calm and respectful to each other (tough to do during a rush) while also communicating and moving everything through with a sense of urgency. The clear focus on providing a great experience was evident. Super impressive!This gets me to my next point and frankly my only “complaint” about my visit: the setup where you pay (and presumably tip) in advance is clunky and I’m certain leads to fewer tips than this crew clearly deserves. Asking customers (not at the bar) to tip in advance of any service received is a recipe for receiving no tip or a very small one. So few people have cash on hand to tip after the meal so, at the very least, there should be a second opportunity to tip on a card. The pay up front model fits with a cafeteria or buffet- not a high end bistro with excellent service- just my two cents.“

“One of THE Best Coffee and Espresso drinks south of Austin!! They value what they do, and it shows. I love that they have direct relationships with their coffee farms and make sure they have the best quality coffee while also compensating their farms more than fairly. They don't over roast their beans like some places, so the flavor is always on point. While it's a "coffee truck," where it's located (Lustre Pearl), it gives great access to amazing and very clean outdoor seating as well as some indoor seating. Did I mention clean? Super clean areas in and out. Amazing and SUPER friendly staff team, and again, super delish coffee and espresso beverages. I've had tea a few times and super good, too, but I'm mostly a latte person :) Add them to your regular coffee stops!“

“DARE I SAY - best breakfast tacos in Austin???

Let me tell you about my time at Marigold Market, the PERFECT definition of hole-in-the-wall Austin, worth every single penny, great staff, random gem.

It all started with my not so great experience trying to get taco deli tacos from black rock coffee next door. I walked over to Marigold and was met with the kindest boys, they gave us extra salsa and made our tacos with care. The tacos tasted so fresh and flavorful, they were huge!!

I think I got the cowboy taco and sausage/egg/cheese. Salsa verde is a must. You’ll see a theme throughout my reviews, I try to give local businesses their credit when it’s needed and this place is so beyond deserving. They have a customer for life over here :)“
