“Sarah the bartender was so nice she introduced herself before taking my order even shaking my hand. Previously the owner came up and introduced himself making me feel like a VIP. Conlon's is quiet enough to have a conversation, great music on the jukebox but not so loud you have to yell over it.“

To the bartender I met last night--I really appreciated your hospitality. It meant a lot. There’s something rare and comforting about a neighborhood bar that stays open until 2:00 a.m.--you. just don’t find that in a lot of places, especially not where I’m from in California.

Knowing you were born and raised here, I felt an immediate affinity. It felt genuine, and that’s something I don’t take lightly.

Unfortunately, due to current circumstances, I don’t feel entirely safe being out in public right now in Fort Worth, so I’ve got to hunker down for a while. But once things calm and the air clears, I’ll definitely be back through those doors. I meant that.

Thank you for holding down a real space in a world that’s gotten a little sideways.

“I would like to come back sometime and check it out when there are more people there. I needed a place to take a date in a Monday to play billiards games and this place was where we went. Lots of beer, servers were great. It was just completely empty.“

“Just left and will never go back. Ordered a burger and didn’t realize until I had eaten several bites that a large portion in the middle was totally raw. Not just undercooked a little - totally raw. I chose to not send it back as I had consumed some of it but saved it to show the waitress. When she told the manager, the manager blamed her ( the waitress). I then spoke to the manager and she would not listen and kept insisting it was the waitress who was responsible. She talked right over me, and was downright nasty.She admitted she didn’t bother to look at the burger. No customer service skills whatsoever. I was not asking for anything just explaining it was not the waitress’ fault that the kitchen didn’t cook the burger. The waitress was very concerned and apologized. She did an excellent job of customer service.“

“Food is not a reflection on the pub. The food truck canceled last minute and they simply didn't have any food to offer. Service - bartender (Jacob) was very nice and indeed, made the best margarita. Atmosphere - such a blast with Criddleback (sp?). Made a new friend and we will be back!! HUGS“

“Geeeeeeez that fish and chips meal I had on Friday was amazing. 10/10 They do food most days until about 1 or 2 but it sells out, it's that good. The bartenders rule and they have the best priced drinks in town. It's definitelyy a classic neighborhood pub with a rustic vibe despite a chill patio and new pool tables. Straight up though, the fish and chips will change you as a human.“

“I frequent 54th Street Restaurant & Drafthouse (Alliance) by getting mostly takeout. One of my favorite restaurants. Food is consistently very good. Portions & prices are reasonable. Highly recommend. Also like that they stay open past 10p!“
