“Overall, it was a great experience. However, we've been several times, and it's our go-to for a celebration, high-end dinner, and the service is usually above and beyond. This time, it was not at the same level of service as normal. Maybe because it was Easter, although we were there after the main lunch/brunch crowd. They were out of certain things, and we were told that they were done serving brunch, yet I saw table after table being served brunch items. The food was excellent as always, just not our best experience there“

“What an experience and meal, chef Ben Merritt has the Fitzgerald running like a well oiled machine. Our group ordered unique cocktails before the meal and each person was bragging about how and why theirs was the best. Always a good start to a meal, haha. I could talk about the superb oysters, shrimp or other seafood appetizers but I don’t won’t. Instead I’ll rave about their crawfish dip I think is what they called it. I just kept calling it seafood queso. Their “seafood queso” had crawfish and crab loaded in with a cheese sauce and pico accompanied by homemade tortilla chips! Just take a moment and let your imagination run wild because it is that good. Our entrees were great and the sauces that were paired with them really brought out the flavors of the various proteins we ordered….now the dessert. How do you cap off a wonderful meal? Well you obviously order their chocolate cake with their bourbon sauce. Idk if I’ve ever had a cake with as much flavor or moisture. It was just chef’s kiss good! I know I messed up without photos but when you’re having fun, pictures are the last thing to think of! Thanks again chef Ben for a great birthday meal. I know my Mom had a great time.“

“This establishment Now Closed, August 2024. My experience around the world, general knowledge terms across the board. It was Italian owned, with Italian Staff, clearly! Atmosphere was good not excellent! As intended by looking at it, being there. Set up didn't Hit the Mark. Waitress had to move us to another table because it was dirty not clean and then the table that we moved to was not clean. The second table as well had to be cleaned as stated and then it was left wet or damp should I say either way it should have not been that way. Now for a breakfast and/or strictly brunch establishment, back to the Italian thing, honestly one not knowing any better and I'm laughing at this but it's true, would say that it is "upscale". I'm going to tell you right now it is everything but "upscale". I would not dare think to try and categorize it as such! Lived in Germany for years been to Italy dozens of times. Way overpriced ridiculously I've had the same amount of food for half the price and it tasted a thousand times better for breakfast. Embarrassing to say for any Italian or about. Yes the waitress was Italian they were full-blown from across the pond, straight outta Italy. Glassware, coffee cups were even imported. This is North Texas We want breakfast not Italian let's try and feel miserably and turn it into cuisine breakfast in North Texas. It was not horrible, already been addressed here. “This was my first time visiting the cafe. I’m also new to Texas. The food was absolutely amazing!! The Grind Burger was delicious as well as the fried green tomato sandwich. The fries were fresh and just enough. Hats off to the chef! I will definitely be back!“

“We stopped in for a date night dinner on a Saturday night just before 7pm and it was our first visit so we didn’t know what to expect. Place was full and they sat us at the last table available inside. We were looking at the drink menu and realised they had a happy hour on a Saturday for 15 more minutes, awesome! Got our wine orders in along with a few starters - the Parmesan truffle fries and a Caesar salad with chicken. Typically when we share dishes we have to ask for small plates, but here they brought them out automatically which is lit and a nice touch of refined service we appreciate. They checked in a few times but we were eating slow and catching up after a long week. For a main, we ordered the pasta (there’s only one on the menu) with mushrooms and it was fire. All of the dishes we had were flavourful without being salty, oily, or overly buttery. Everything was perfectly balanced flavour wise which is hard to find as many of the more “famous” Fort Worth spots use too much salt, spice and butter, possibly to hide mediocre ingredients. Our waitress Jade was amazing. Attentive, observant, and prompt. To help with the pasta, we asked a server for a spoon and he brought it out on a plate atop a napkin - again, details of refined service. 10/10 service. The atmosphere is absolutely lovely - quaint with subdued lighting - they make the most of the space they have. Wine list has something for everybody but I gravitated toward their New Zealand pinot Grigio and sauvignon Blanc given it was hot out. I want to try their cocktails next time. We will be back.“

“It was our 2 year anniversary and they did an absolute stellar of a job taking care of us. Our server molly was on top of everything and gary did a great job of making sure that our night went fantastic. Most people would complain about the AC being down but honestly I didn't even notice it with how much fun I was having with my soon to be wife. Can't forget all of the food was amazing. “This was one of the best restaurant experiences we have had in a long time. The manager greets you with a huge smile on his face and is so welcoming and gracious, like a ray of sunshine. Our waiter (Jordan) was perfect- knowledgeable about the food, friendly and constantly checked on us. Water continuously refilled and the food was so delicious. Drinks were wonderful too! Such an incredibly pleasant experience- HIGHLY RECOMMEND! We will be back!“

“I am so sad! This place is beyond amazing!! But when I got to the office my amazing coffee jumped out of my hands so naturally, I threw a two-year-old fit in the parking lot with a playground full of kids next to me and people in their cars watching the show. Some guy asked if I was ok. NO I am NOT ok!! My amazing coffee is on the ground and all over me and my shoes! Aaaaand I am now coffe-less. (Stomp foot, insert huff).
The disappointment is REAL because it's THAT good! Do yourself a favor and put this place on your regular rotation. My favorite dish is the hippy bowl. Oh and you have to try the iced mocha coffee! It's great (when it's not on the floor). Be sure to toast in my honor!“
