“Let me tell you, we’ve been here twice already, and it’s just as good every time! The first time we ordered the spicy tonkotsu ramen, korokke, and mixed tempura, and we loved it so much we got the exact same thing on our second visit.

This place truly reminded us of Japan, from the food to the cozy atmosphere and all the cute little signs around the restaurant. One thing I really love is that they give you your own personal squeeze bottle of spicy sauce with the ramen, so you can adjust your spice level just how you like it. And the fact that they gave us two bottles so we didn’t have to share? Such a thoughtful touch, small gestures like that really stand out to me.

The korokke had that perfect crunch on the outside and soft, flavorful potato inside. And the mixed tempura was just like what you’d find in Japan, shrimp, mushrooms, okra, lotus root, broccoli, asparagus, and sweet potato. Honestly, I’ve been to a lot of Japanese restaurants, and I’ve never had such a great variety of tempura anywhere outside of Japan.

The service here is also amazing, everyone’s so kind, attentive, and welcoming. Definitely swing by if you’re craving authentic Japanese flavors. You’ll love it as much as we did! 🇯🇵🍜✨“

“Lived in Japan for years. I have a bad taste for chinese or korean owners imitating Japanese food. Its like german pizza, english pasta, russian beef wellington? Very few come out right. This place is legit. Japanese ramen run by Japanese owner and employees.“

“This place has amazing decor that is very fitting for being in the Legacy East Corridor. The servers were extremely attentive and the ordering process was made very streamlined. I went during lunch break and was the only person in the restaurant for the majority of the time. The food came out very quickly and was piping hot. “This is an excellent ramen shop. I've been to Japan many times. I've eaten at award winning shops in Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, and Nara. This Tonkatsu is excellent. The owner is the perfect embodiment of perfectionist high energy Japanese business owner. His food is excellent, he cares deeply, and he is extremely attentive. I'm going to say this again very bluntly: I have had Ramen in Japan all over.

This is authentic. This is what you get in Japan, exactly. The Menma, the Beni shōga, the Tonkatsu, all of it is exactly what you would have in Tokyo in the afternoon any day.

Some may complain because they're not from Japan and they want to haggle or want something else maybe more for less... But this is REAL, this is authentic as it gets.

If you don't want to spend 13 hours flying to Tokyo, I promise this is literally what it tastes like. This man is a saint. You should thank him and eat here.

“It was a cold night so perfect time for some Ramen. I was really surprised how fresh and tasty everything was. We ordered the black garlic smoke bomb, regular tonkatsu, and karage chicken. Everything was delicious. I will tell all my friends and families.“

“I have been so patient with waiting for the opportunity to finally try this ramen place! They opened up and by the time I had the chance to go they were temporarily closed. Needless to say I am very excited that they are finally open again! If you live in the 4 corners area of Frisco, Allen, McKinney, Plano you know that there's slim pickin's of GOOD ramen places around. I promise you that this one is so worth it!!! I placed an online order for take out and it said "ready in 20 min." I kid you not I walked into the building right at the 20 minute mark and the man was stapleing the bag to my order closed. Talk about precise! The man working told me that there weren't any bean sprouts in my ramen order because so they weren't fresh, to compensate he gave me an entire order of 4 veggie rolls. What?! Love that level of customer service! Plus, I was debating on even getting the veg rolls and now I'll always order them because they are delicious! Sushi was always amazing and the ramen was so good! The only adjustment I'll make to it next time is to ask for my miso veg ramen it a little spicy. My husbands spicy ramen was PLENTY spicy enough. He loved it!!! Now everytime I have a ramen craving we will be at Kuma!“
