“Last night we had the most incredible experience. We spent our anniversary at the amazing @reserve101 for their @elijahcraig release. We had the full VIP experience and even left with an oh so special gift from the owners. It just so happened that our anniversary falls on Whiskey Week so this very may become our annual tradition. “Steak night at Gagootzbar was AMAZING!! I was blown away. The steak was incredible juicy,tender, and perfectly seasoned seared on the outside while moist and pink inside. Accompanying with perfect potatoes wedges and salad. Definitely will be back for more.“

“This whole facility is card only. I happened to be paying with a PayPal card as opposed to a regular bank card and there were issues with the pre-authorization hold when I tried to open a tab.
EVERY staff member I interacted with to resolve the problem was extremely courteous and helpful. Pablo was particularly friendly and understanding. If you're in downtown definitely swing by. Also extremely good happy hour M-F. Don't know where else in downtown that you can get a 3 dollar beer...

“Great chill vibes, was able to have a conversation with my date and the craft cocktails were both reasonably priced and actually quite unique and intriguing. I tried the Trinidad James since I love black sesame despite not normally being someone who can stand Angostura Bitters but it was beautifully balanced and I'd order it again in a heartbeat. This bar is definitely now on my shortlist for when I'm downtown.“

“Oh the magic... We celebrated my daughter's college graduation here last weekend. Alexis, the coordinator is wonderful. She was a dream to work with, and lightening fast at responding. She was onsite and I agree with other comments made of her. The lady is patience and grace. Never out of sorts, handled everything expeditiously, and with the utmost professionalism and proactiveness. The space was beautiful and the guests were all impressed with the space itself. Very little decor is needed as the Venue's design, decor and overall vibe is lovely all on its own. The bartender, Omar was top-notch. Our guests loved him. His knowledge of the specialty cocktails, and non-alcoholic hand made lemonade were delish. Finally, Christina, our day of server or hostess was incredible. She handled my crowd with ease, professionalism, and was always in sight and on top of the food, music, and guests.
If I could, i'd go back and re-do my past events at this venue as well. They only get 5 stars because Google's rating system wont allow a 10! Well done Alexis, Omar and Christina. My daughter loved and in my book, that is 100% SUCCESS!“

“Went with a friend to the Friday R&B night and we had sooooooooo much fun! The vibes were the best I've felt in a long time. Just young chocolately skinned people in their 20s to 30 somethings having fun dancing to new and old r&b. People were playing uno, girls were being girls hyping each other up on the dance floor and inviting strangers to dance with them, guys were being respectful, no one was acting too grabby or weird. Lol I don't even think I saw anyone drunk. Like people were having drinks but no one was getting sloppy. It was a really cute fun night“

“Just recently moved to Houston and was very amazed that it was a drive thru daiquiri shop here. Only place I thought could do this was New Orleans. But the daiquiris are delicious. The young lady inside was very courteous. I definitely will be returning“
“Owner Mike is a tailor as well as a bartender. This bar was originally a tailor shop with bar added later and both have collectively been in operation for 88 YEARS!It is a very eclectic place with old style bar feel. One may also see someone walk into the bar for an alteration or have a suit made and have a drink in the process.Char Bar is a MUST for someone visiting downtown Houston.We just LUV IT!“
“We attended the Billy Joel performance at the Jones Theater this weekend and it was absolutely phenomenal!!! I can not even begin to put into words how beautifully stunning the music and acoustic experience was here. You need to experience it yourself in person to really understand how next level amazing it is. They also had the most comfortable velvet seats with arm rests. It’s hot in TX. Another place on the strip said it’s free if I bring my own cup but I don’t carry it unless I go to the recreation . Thanks for being helpful always !!“

“All around fantastic experience. I was very surprised. This was the first time I've ever eaten at a restaurant associated with a golf course. I am not a golfer. The food was top-notch, and the service was fast and friendly. My diet Pepsi glass was always full. A business associate brought me here. I would have never found the place on my own. The dining room was clean, wide open with plenty of space, and provided a beautiful view of a golf course.“
