About Neil's Bahr

Neil's Bahr is a unique and lively bar located near the downtown area, George R. Brown Convention Center, and Minute Maid Park. The establishment is filled with a variety of nerdy and retro-themed elements, including vintage video games, comic books, and old magazines, creating a welcoming and nostalgic atmosphere. The staff is described as wonderful, making the experience even more enjoyable for visitors. The bar is praised for its welcoming vibe, where customers feel like they're at a friend's basement party. The bartenders are approachable and helpful, adding to the chill and friendly atmosphere. Visitors can enjoy a range of activities, such as karaoke, ping-pong, and good-quality beer at great prices.

The new location is perfect, and the establishment has maintained its appeal despite the change in location. The patio is new-looking, but customers should be prepared for passing-by trains. While the cleanliness of the restrooms and parking availability may pose some challenges, the overall consensus is that Neil's Bahr is a must-visit spot for a fun and memorable time.

In terms of the low-key Houston experience, and perspective, this spot is in a superposition. Imagine the possibilities ;)

I love that they are here in the East End now and they are better than ever. Super cozy den and bar seating, fun karaoke and tournament nights, and you are allowed to bring outside food in with you (the tacos at the taco truck in the parking lot are 🔥). My favorite nerdy bar!

4 Stars yeah! It would be 5 stars but the star employee, “Roberto” who hosts Karoke on Wednesdays, has a massive attitude and tailors only to the locals and “people he knows” so if you decide to make this your local bar just know he may forget your name cause he’s intoxicated 90% the time and won’t remember you. Other than that. The ambience is my favorite and the bartenders are the best. Sunday Karoke is the best night instead Wednesdays
