“Our first time there and the experience was wonderful. It started with great service, by Rebecka. We chatted with some customers seated at the next table, who shared their secrets. Come before six pm and get the pizza rolls as appetizers. We came with the intent to get pizza but ended up getting some shrimp dishes, spaghetti and meatballs, plus chicken parm. All the dishes were great. This is our new favotite Italian restaurant.“

“Today we had an extraordinary experience thank to our server Gregory we mentioned to him that we were excited and celebrating life because our 4 year old went for her yearly MRI scans and came out NED. He went out of his way to put his team together to sing to our precious warrior with a delicious cake and candle, now she is 3 years NED. Food was delicious, cutomer service was excellent, I truly love the atmosphere and recommend it 100%“

“My husband and I picked Umberto’s for date night tonight and amazing is an understatement!! From the delicious fried calamari and rolls to the yummy eggplant parm and Umberto’s pasta,EVERYTHING was absolutely incredible!! The service was fast,friendly and on point!! Our server,Melissa,was so friendly and made sure that we were well taken care of!! “We ordered family style takeout and wasn't impressed. Almost $200 worth with no parm, utensils or mints. Yes, I asked for utensils and cheese. The bigger problem was the Baked Ziti had very little sauce. I should've taken a picture, but I had to whip up sauce. There might have been an 1/8 of an inch of sauce on top. Not even tomato juice in the bottom of the pan. Not great for a birthday party.“

“So I wasn't sure what to expect when I first received the invite, but I was pleasantly surprised. There were people dressed for date night and casual. The atmosphere was lively and that was even before the wine. We went on a Tuesday for bottle and board night and my apologies now because my pics do not do justice to the food and service. It was a fun lighthearted night. And I was impressed with everything that touched my tongue. I can't wait to go back and work my way through their menu. & you can get a GF board!“

So many other options to choose from also if you don’t want the buffet. Very relaxing and great place to meet up with others. Staff is so friendly and willing to make your experience a good one. “Initially I went to grimaldis and waited for 20 minutes with no service. Mind you I only have 45 minutes for lunch. I walked over, was greeted immediately, given a table, ordered, had hot fresh baked bread come out to my table, my order followed about 5 minutes after! “I pass this place every time I come to the mall because I like to park in the back because it's a shorter walk to one store I love. So today was the day I stopped by and grabbed some chicken fettuccine Alfredo it looked so good I didn't pass it up this time. I decided to get the large so it would last several meals for me because it's a huge serving. It came with a piece of bread I am unsure of what kind but ally food is super tasty, fresh, and very delicious. The portion showing in my own plate is maybe 1/3 of the serving I got. The service was super great Able helped me today and answered every question I had. He was kind and super helpful I truly appreciated the great customer service. Overall a 5 star from me will definitely eat here again.“

“We were seated immediately (2 people), but then we sat there.... and sat there... Lucky for them, my traveling buddy is pregnant and reeeeaally wanted this pasta, or we would have walked out!
There was a sweet girl that came and asked if we'd been helped at which point someone else had nodded to suggest we HAD been taken care of. LoL All in all, we just giggled and waited.

“One of my favorite restaurants, although it is a fairly expensive place for most of the dishes they offer, but the portion they offer is quite good for its price and there are accessories that you can order more than once and they always bring you the same amount and the flavor in most of the dishes that I have consumed is quite good, the flavor is very good so I highly recommend it and if you go on your birthday they give you the dessert that you like the most.

Vegetarian options: The salad is one of the best I've ever had.

Parking: Both in size, location quite good compared to other places

Kid-friendliness: I like that it is a quite family atmosphere, nice and quiet.“

The short rib sugo could have been better - the pasta and sauce were good but the meat had almost no flavor or seasoning. I actually had to add salt multiple times. We will still be back because it was good enough to warrant another visit!“

“My car stalled right in front of North Italia in San Antonio at The Rim. I had my autistic daughter with me. I had lost my husband two months ago and I was in a panic and beyond stressed. I needed help pushing my car into a parking spot safely as my car couldn’t drive. The manager came out and helped push my car to safety. He offered us water or to make a pizza and I said no thank you that is very kind of you but we will come and eat inside while we wait for the tow truck. The minute I sat down, nothing but the best service. They were so understanding because of my daughter’s special needs and the stressful situation we were in that they were able to go above and beyond for us. My daughter calmed down and was happy. The food was really good. I am Italian and very picky as you can understand why, so I was impressed with the taste and quality. I for sure will be back! Sincerely, I can’t thank them enough.“

“I was thoroughly impressed with Mattenga’s pizza. It was the perfect old fashioned pizza. The fresh mozzarella and good sauce were spot on. The dough was absolutely phenomenal, you could tell it was fresh made. Michelle was great too and made the experience even better! Awesome service. I will go here every time I visit.“

The atmosphere was not great but also not bad ~ only bad experience was my Grandson was stung by a wasp when he went to sit at their benches out front. I guess no one cleans them because it had a decent size wasp nest ~ I could see at least 5 on the nest. I will probably visit again.“

“My big back self drove from CC to this location just for the strawberry pizza and I’m glad I did. It was so good and the service was great. The gentleman at the register was very nice and delivered me a very fresh dessert. The icing was still melting, that’s how fresh it was. It still tasted good even after the drive back home. Double Dave’s, please give kudos to the guy working the register around 4 PM on Saturday, May 24th. I’ll definitely return next time I’m up that way.“

“Sent my son in and fast service surprised me as I usually don’t get that kind of service that fast in other locations. He went in and came out with a fresh hot pizza in less then 3 minutes . I didn’t even call to place an order! Amazing job!!“
