“This was our first time here and the food was very delicious and reasonably priced. I had the Greek salad with warm bread and dipping oil with garlic and herbs. My daughter had the Caesar salad and kids lasagna. Everything we had was flavorful and fresh so we decided to try an Italian cream cake for dessert and again very tasty! We definitely will be coming back to try out other foods as they had a variety of entrees to choose from.“

“I was craving authentic spaghetti. We found this little hole in the wall and reviews were pretty great, so we gave it a try. When we first walked in it smelled delicious. The owner gave us a brief history of the restaurant then took our order. Let me tell you! The portions are big! Our only complaint was that the wings were a little overcooked. “The pizza was wonderful. I loved the flavor of the sauce, however because it was so good I wish there had been more of it. The pizza is SO cheesy it was decadent. The pepperoni was perfect not too greasy and very flavorful. The dough was good hubby would've preferred it a little thinner but that's a personal preference, I liked it the way it was. The only drawback was that you can't enjoy it there when it's nice and hot, and the restaurant is crowded and kind of sad. It made me want to help them fix it up and make it presentable.“

“Just had a wonderful experience at Umberto's. My girlfriends and I got together for lunch here for the first time and everything was amazing. Started out with appetizers, if you like mushrooms the stuffed mushrooms are a must, they are overflowing with cheese, spinach and sausage. Calamari was nice and crisp, the bruschetta was nicely seasoned. Main dish especially included chicken parmigiana, Umberto's penne pasta with shrimp and chicken griglia. All delicious, chicken griglia was so refreshing with basil, lemon and garlic. The shrimp in the Umberto's pasta were huge and the fresh vegetables squash, spinach and mushrooms were cooked perfectly. Of course we ordered dessert which included cheesecake, cannoli, creme brûlée and tiramisu. Will definitely be back with my family!! Huge portions, great service, nice atmosphere!!“

The Cheese Pizza I ordered was very slightly undercooked by wood fire standards, but good nonetheless. I’d prefer it to have stayed in the stove another minute or two. The Italian Sub is absolutely massive and very tasty, but also not cooked nearly long enough. The Mozzarella cheese was actually cold and not melted in the slightest. I had to take the sub home and use a cooking torch to finish the job. However, it’s still quite good and, despite the hefty price, is large enough for two people.Kid-friendliness: Park on location and good place to bring kids.“

We took forever to look at the menu because we couldn’t stop eating the bread. For the antipasti, we ordered the bruschetta, calamari and the stacked eggplant. Bruschetta was ohhh so good, simply seasoned and perfectly crunchy. The stacked eggplant was my favorite, beautifully cooked, cheesy and I could have eaten that as my entree and stopped there (I’m picky so I can’t tell you about the calamari)I’m already full but then the Caesar salad comes out. I ate half and tapped out when the lemon pepper chicken (no spaghetti, sub mashed potatoes) and green peas came out. Sean kindly boxed my plate for me.We got back to Dallas and heated up the lemon pepper chicken and OH MY GOODNESS! “I really like the chewy crust of the pizza. They have great lunch offers. Wish they offered all day. Service is hit or miss. But the food is usually consistent. I sometimes get pieces of meatballs as a topping for an extra charge. I always have to dab the orange grease when I get pepperoni. But some people don't mind it.“

I can tell they really care about making fresh pizzas to order, and while I’m not from New York, it’s promoted as New York Style pizza.We got a little of everything. We got the spinach and ricotta rolls, a salad with ranch, a pepperoni pizza, the Goombas supreme pizza, and a cannoli.The rolls were really good. The spinach tasted fresh and I went really enjoyed them. The salad was.. meh. Maybe I shouldn’t have picked ranch. I wasn’t crazy about the flavor and it was on.Now let’s talk about the pizza. I love the little stand son the table that they put the pizza on. It’s a fun presentation. I know they use fresh ingredients and a pizza oven, which you can taste, it the supreme pizza was extremely floppy. The second I picked it up, half of it dipped and toppings fell off. The pepperoni was the opposite. The crust was almost too tough (not crunchy), and it was hard for my son to bite through. The pizza was good, but for my tastes, it just wasn’t great.The dessert was polarizing. I thought it was really good but my wife disliked it. The bred or crust of the cannolis was really hard. It was hard to cut. But when you chewed it, I loved the flavors. So to me it was really good, but again, my wife was not a fan.So overall this is a good place. Try it out if you haven’t. My parents love the menudo, my husband is a fan of the huevos rancheros, and I love every taco they serve. “I've been going to Luciano's at Ingram Mall for over 15 years. The food is great and so many options of pizza, salads and many other items. I have never had a problem with service. The folks there are always polite and friendly. Remember, this is a food court area. If you're looking for candlelight and Italian table cloths get over it! The food court is noisy. “LOCATION: North Italia is located in a fantastic part of the Rim at 1604 and IH-10. It's right behind a beautiful hang out spot with turf, chairs, tables, and an ice cream shop called Lick. Also, North Italia is within walking distance to Rock and Rye, Bowl and Barrel, and the Palladium move theater. FOOD: My fiancé and I usually start with bread, her preferring the grilled bread with olive oil and I the truffle garlic bread. Both are good, but come with only 4 pieces so you'll need multiple orders for bigger parties OR if you're a bit hungry. We love to get the Margherita pizza and the chicken pesto pasta (pictured). For the pizza, Margherita is pretty basic, but here, the cheese, sauce, and crust is all perfect. I'm huge on the crust, and it totally hits the spot. Just enough herbs, garlic etc. as well as a perfect texture in my eyes. I also adore the crushed meatball ragú, although since we don't eat pork, I substitute the porchetta with another meatball! Many Italian places serve very similar food, but North Italia incorporates unique spices and dishes into their menu to stand out. DRINKS: The wine selection is nice here. We've enjoyed the Valravn Pinot Noir and the Edna Valley Chardonnay. I'm a bit more into cocktails, and most I've had are great. I especially enjoy the white lotus which is right up my alley, being a mix of sweet and citrusy. SERVICE: Been here many times and am always satisfied with service. Nice people there, and 95% of the time, we never wait very long for service even if the whole place is busy (pretty big building).“
