Ginger Kale Reviews
Closed almost 45min early, kicked my friend and I out of line along with two other patrons. Stated there wasn't enough business, but we sat at the tables outside and had at least 10 other people who showed up to order and obviously couldn't due to their early, and unexpected, closure. Would have been nice to try 🤷♀️
Riquísimo, ambiente de paz!!

Ginger Kale is a charming cafe located near Hermann Park in Houston. Offering a delightful menu, visitors can enjoy Honey Sea Salt Lattes, delicious macarons, and massive chocolate chip cookies. The cafe also serves flavorful lemonades, including the unique butterfly pea lemonade. Customers praise the cozy atmosphere and appreciate the cafe's convenient location for enjoying the nearby park and gardens. The tables facing the lake provide a charming view, perfect for watching ducks, squirrels, and geese while eating or having a drink. The outside seating area is nice and dog-friendly, with quick and helpful service. Parking is easy with multiple lots nearby. The menu caters to both carnivores and vegetarians, and the space is kid-friendly and wheelchair accessible.
However, some customers feel that the food, while decent, is a bit overpriced. For example, some have mentioned paying $12 for 6 small macarons. There are many options on the menu, but some believe the quality does not match the prices, noting that similar or better options exist around town. Additionally, the cafe has been reported to run out of popular items like the açaí bowl early in the day. The atmosphere can be lively, with many children present, which might not appeal to everyone. Despite this, many still enjoy the cutely decorated shop and the overall experience. Prices are generally good, similar to or cheaper than fast food chains, making it a suitable pit stop after visiting the park.
