I had an amazing experience at I Wa Ya Japanese Restaurant, and Ahzee made it even more memorable! From the moment we walked in, Ahzee was incredibly welcoming, attentive, and genuinely kind. This is my favorite go to spot when I crave for quick and affordable Japanese food. Their never ending corn soup, miso soup, and red bean soup are community’s favorite. I have bumped into many friends here because they all love the food here too. Paying cash will receive 10% discount. I usually order their lunch special bento because it has the best value and variety. Very much recommended.

Iwa Ya is a casual restaurant where customers order at the counter and find their own table. The menu offers options like pork chop rice and rolls, along with complimentary self-serve soups, including red bean soup and miso soup, which can be refilled for free. The restaurant is efficient and offers good deals, making it a popular spot for lunch or dinner. Customers often share tables, and signs indicate specials and amenities like water, napkins, and silverware.
Recent reviews highlight the affordable sushi, including the Sushi Combo A with 7 pieces, featuring shrimp, squid, tuna, salmon, red snapper, smelt roe, egg, and California roll, with the squid and salmon being especially fresh. The sushi portions are slightly smaller than other places but full of flavor, and the free miso soup is a popular addition. Many customers enjoy visiting regularly, with some returning for special occasions.
Overall, Iwa Ya remains a favorite for quick, quality sushi and satisfying meals in a friendly, casual environment.
